Had my baby early

I got quite a surprise at my OB appointment on Feb 23. I was due March 17, but the OB did an ultrasound and told me to go straight to the hospital for monitoring and a C-section. Turned out to have low amniotic fluid, but my baby was fine, very active. I had my son, Gage Patrick at 4:31 that day, and he weighed 5 lb 9 oz, and is so small I still can't believe it. My daughter was 3 lb heavier when she was born, so this is quite an adjustment.

I'm finally back online after all that, and trying to get caught up! Being offline for a week made for quite an email backlog, never mind the usual things I do for my business. I have to feed my son every 2 hours because he was premature (didn't have to go into intensive care, thank goodness!), so it's quite challenging getting anything done.

I made a blog for his pictures, written from my 2-1/2 year old daughter's point of view, which is quite fun to work on. I'm getting used to typing with one hand again.

Now I just have to get used to working again...

Congrats on the healthy baby. Hope they gave you some good drugs for the c-section. They gave me morphine. It made me very happy for a couple of days.

Hardest part for me having him so tiny is remembering how much bigger his sister was at birth. Gage makes pretty much everyone nervous holding him, since he's the smallest baby any of his grandparents have seen.

    lol,
Its not as bad as that one case if any of you recall.
There was a premature birth, the child was so small it could fit in an adults hand.
Though it rapidly grew and became noramal.
    lol
Things could nearly always be worse.
As long as he is heathly.
    :)
