    Hi,

Firstly, my website is on 6th page, later it disapears at all and not shows up for a week or more. After that it appears on page 3. One week later it appeared on 1st page. And now i improved my content and it disapeared again. Is it normal that it disapears from results for days while google updates SERP?

Until you get better rankings, you likely will keep seeing these fluctuations. This is because you are probably getting results from different Google data centers. It does take some time for rankings to fully update across all Google data centers.

To avoid this, keep building more quality links. As your link profile grows stronger, your rankings will keep moving up and they will stabilize.

You will have to share you URL with some people before we can make any kind of comment on possible reasons for this behaviour.

This may be because of the content you changed, as you mentioned.

Also as all have said you should wait for the stable results form the Google. It will be the final ranking based on the Google's criteria.

    1. Google crawls my homepage everyday and caches my content.
    2. After last content update which was keyword rich I felt down in positions from 1st page to xxx page or even out of them at all.
    3. I changed keyword rich content to not that rich one today again. Google cached my website today. Nothing has changed, I think it takes not just hours or days but weeks for google to update serp even if it has cached my content.

Btw, google bot likes my site, it is quite new but it often indexes it. Now it has ~4000 indexed pages it is almost all of the pages my site has. And after this drop in positions the number of pages is still rising. I hope it is not a penalty but just something which takes time for google to set correct positions for my site.

Or maybe it is just because of the dramatical change of keyword density? For example some keywords before my content update were ~2-3% and later I updated it for 5-6%? Is it possible that after such big changes positions may be lost and some time later they increase to even higher as it were before? As far as I know 5-6% keyword density, especially very popular keywords is not that much and I shouldn't get penalized. For example some of my competitors have even 10-13% keyword density for same keywords and they rank top on the first page.

It happened to one of our website too... when we were performing seo of one Australian website movenetwork.com.au

we got results on top 5 after 2 month of work . it stayed there for a period of time and then suddenly went on 5th page.. And we are sure that we have done only ethical seo ..

    Here is my url http://wallpapersin.com/

    1. I use alt tags and title tags for images. I did it before and everything was ok. Also I saw it on many other wallpaper sites that rank on 1st page. According to google webmaster quality site guidelines it should be ok.

    2. I added subcategories menu in the bottom with some words, example:

Animals widescreen wallpapers: Arachnids Birds Cats Dogs Fish Horses Insects Lions Reptiles Tigers Wolves Other Animals.

    bold text is normal text.
    underline text are links.

I hope google won't understand that text like spam. For human eye it doesn't look so. ( these subcategories are only on homepage)

    3. I changed order of keywords in title. Also meta keywords, meta description.

Ah.. Just take a look - is my site a spam? Google trash?

I used to rank 1st page for "widescreen wallpapers". Later I was out of search results for it. And now I appeared on 8th page..

Besides, In that time number of sites linking to me increased. I got more backlinks.

Also, when i try to search "wallpapersin" i am not in first position anymore. On the other hand, a few days ago I couldn't find my site for this domain name at all..

One more thing. Google is still indexing my site. My sitemap is 90% indexed. Also number of images inxded under images search is stil growing.

Is this a penalty, that I do not rank 1st page anymore or it is just because I changed my content too much and google needs time to set correct positions for my site?

It's simply playing on what Google is designed to do - more specifically, one of the common filters.

1 week passed. I got more backlinks, pr1-3. But still positions are too low.

I see websites higher than me, which have no backlinks and no quality content, one doesn't even have a page title, and it ranks page 2, for same keyword, which I used to rank 1st page. Now I can find me on 8th page.

The strangiest thing is that when I search my site by: domain name, without .com my site is not on first place, it is only 6th. Topsites I use for my site, rank higher than my own site. Some days ago it wasn't here at all, later got 4th place, and now 6th! Before all these losts I ranked first, for my domain name, without any "did you mean blablabla?".

My domain is 3 months and 1 week old. All this started the same day, my domain became exactly 3 months old. Is this something about this number. Maybe after 3 months google treats domains in some other way?

Listen mate, your in a hasty, your domain is still fairly new, so you have to wait a while, i guess goggle is trying to place your site in the right position has your domain is still new, and also about the site that dont have a page title and rank ebtter than you, the answer is called anchor text backlink, its so powerful u can put welcome on the title page, and rank better for a keyword that is not placed on the title page. a
