Good day gentlemen, Over the past two weeks, I've spent roughly $200 on small Blog Commenting packages from both individual providers as well as "service companies". I've purchased these packages from around 7 different sources. This is what happened: 3 outright stole my money. Some ended up banned on DP afterwards. PayPal claims are still running as I write. 2 took my high PR, DoFollow blog lists (I tried to hire a service where I supplied a blog list myself) and ran. I have yet to hear from any of these people. 2 delivered grossly misleading work. Advertising DoFollow services while 99% of the blogs were NoFollow. Advertising PR'd blogs while in fact everything was PRN/A, and so on. Looking at my PayPal history over the past few days... I basically have to conclude that I've lost $200 just by looking for ONE reliable, honest, long-term blog commenter. I spoke to one Indian blogger briefly on MSN, who anonymously admitted to me the reason why most blog commenters are fraudulent or misleading is because of the relatively low pay. I'd say 3/4 of everything being offered in the Services forum of DP is done by providers using automated tools for the job. However, blog commenting is not something that can be automated and completed successfully. Blog commenting involves manually gathering blogs, manually verifying PR/Follow and then manually placing comments to finish it up. In other words: it is pure manual labor and requires significant dedication to complete such a task. Right now I'm just feeling kind of hopeless. I think it's insane to pay close to $10 for single blog posts as some people here are advertising (I need several thousand in total!), but on the other hand I discover that all "affordable" blog commenting services are basically a lie. Is there any way out? Why do all blog commenters lie, cheat or mislead? Someone explain this to me. I'm at a loss! Roelof R.
If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. That's how it goes. I myself give some dirt cheap services and the same service for a high price as well. I had a client last time telling me; Man you are trying to scam me, you provide this same service for ##$ price here. That's when I disclosed them what he/she was opting for! Client was happy to pay a higher price. --- So all you need to do is, TELL THE TRUTH! - That would be my only honest request to a lot of service providers.
Well, I am too agree. More than 90% members are here just for moeny rather knowledge. I too lost my $75 in earlier stage. I would recommend everyone if they hire one for any kind of services to check the i trader and previous work done on DP. This will help a lot. And ask then to provide you the daily proofs of work...Ans i strongly recommend to pay daily basis so you may come to know daily work and you can manage your budget...Hope people got what exactly i meant was..
Good day to you too, Well i agree that there are loads of people cheating around for just having a good high PR dofollow blog list so you should not trust everyone for that and try to start off your work with few comments and not a bulk one. Don't give your list to every newbie or noob here and don't even trust everyone. Some newbies here are willing to work for way too cheap just to scam others but it does not mean that all of them are bad as they surely need to get some chance to start off so try to workout with low amount of work. I don't do much blog commenting on dp just because its low paying and specially most of the people here are willing to do blog commenting for 5-10 cents usually which is not worth a good blog comment. Try to look for few samples of past comments from the seller and make sure to take a test comment on few posts before you hire him/her for ongoing work. Thanks PHYza
If you want to get a great service please don't finding a very cheap provider here. You'll take a high risk to lost your money.
Any link building should not be outsourced IMHO.. I have also tried to my peril.. When you have no control over how you build inorganic links, it becomes dangerous also.. And yes, they suck... I bought a few package and all I got was comments by seo bloggers who has a dofollow just to get some comments.. I don' know how to explain.. The best is to do it yourself genuinely..
Thank you for the comments, everyone. I must agree that perhaps I was too trustful of every provider I met at first sight. Several of these persons provided me with rather questionable proof of previous work, yet I still went ahead with it, just relying on their good word: "Don't worry: I can do it." I would have probably saved some misguided purchases had I opted for more credible proof. On the other hand, I agree with: $10 per comment is something I do not assume many people on DP would purchase. However a service at $0.70 is definitely worth considering as a quality choice. Although, after this entire debacle, I believe I'd rather go with: It might take a while to do 1000+ comments, but in the end I'd have full control over comment quality, PR and Follow status, and probably save a few hundred dollars in the process. Thanks for the input everyone. Your advice was very helpful!
I think you should see the sellers history in DP. Many people who provide cheap and say quality will be high are one who tend to cheap. People don't search a lot about their service and say that they will do it. And in the end they say they are unable to do the service. it has happened with me a lot on internet. It is not always that the cheap service will yield better results. You should see the sellers comments and experience on DP. guys having high itrader would be easier to deal with.(Many people know about that) Also one can check the posts made by the op on this forum. The history tells a lot. Also higher the posts the rep also increases. Guys with 200 + comments are better to deal with.(Though I have less posts on DP, But I am a trust worthy writer and link builder ) Now coming to blog commenting. Many people think that doing blog commenting is a very easy task and can be done by every one. Most people are inexperienced and just try to get job every time one post a thread asking for a the latter. See how he represents himself to you and again see his history. To establish yourself on DP, you need to help people out, give free stuff, gain +rep, do successful job, gain some itrader, participate on conversation and start interesting threads. That's what I have learned right now on the forum. I hope this helps you and solve your query.
I am very sorry about your loss. But what I can suggest is to only pick up those service providers who have good reputation and have good reviews on. Don't try to risk your money by employing those low itraders members.
Well you can't degrade all the members who have low itrader. There are people who want to work and build reputation. It's just that you have see what the person has for you. you can't just say don't take work from guys having low-itrader. maybe he has more to give than from the established guy. yes there are a few spammers here. But not all.
Pay a decent amount at a higher quality marketplace such as sitepoint and you will get quality work. DP is an incredibly cheap market.
totally agreed with humm, you get what you pay for. the reason is, people tend to just google and search for dofollow blogs, ( which is a horrible way, since most of the blogs you find have written dofollow on them, but they are not dofollow. you have to actually look at the source code for that take for ex, NONE of blogspot blogs are dofollow, most of wordpress blogs are nofollow, and the ones which are, you get banned very easily due to aksimnet. and third and biggest reason of them all. - people dont' read when they post a comment, so it looks spammy just by looking at it. same is the case with yahoo answers. they just copy paste it, automatically. yahoo is nofollow, but as i have practially seen, best answers tend to bring in traffic, for a long time to come. since yahoo answers is generally the first page to be opened for most of questions in google search , and best answer is shown there yes, i do have clients which pay me upto .60c per yahoo answer or blog comment, but that's because i CHECK the three things before posting, it's terribly hard work unfortunately. and NOT worth .10c most work on here.
yes all people here use automated tools to do blog commenting.but they are few people who do manual commenting like me.I am already doing blog commenting for other provider.the buyers are fools because they fall prey to cheap prices and get low quality automated work.you cannot blame all because of some idiots.try to pay the provider only for approved comments
@humm is absolutely right. Sometimes I write articles, and I always watch the iTraders of the people I'd like to work for, before I start. And for God's sake - many people here who want to hire someone to write something (no matter if it's a blog comment, article etc.) see a thread like "VERY CHEAP ARTICLE WRITING SERVICE BY HIGHLY-TRAINED PROFESSIONAL TEAM: 10000 WORDS/ARTICLE FOR 0.00000000001 cents/word" and they immideately fall into the trap. Can't you realise that service with such rates cannot provide a really good writing style? And until there are still many people who believe in such "quality" serice rates, there will be more and more cheated clients - that's the truth!
This is the truth. People expect to get something for nothing and they end up disappointed. Quality costs money regardless of what you're talking about. Quality cars, articles, writers, athletes, whatever.
They don't seem to comment in anything resembling proper english. I had to spend considerably more time getting some comments removed than I saved hiring folks to do this sort of thing. I will never run that type of service again. Last time I tried it I wound up looking like a complete ass. Nigel
exactly ! i made a topic for blog commenting i was offering Approved PR5 Dofollow Blog comment for 8$ ! a guy replied no one will take your service as many people are offering 500 blog comments for 8$ another guy came and said the same thing i simply reported my thread and closed it ! People want cheap not quality here!
Ive recently realised you shouldnt outsource your site on here unless your happy with total spamming and blackhat methods, there are only a few people on here who will care for your site the way you care for it. And you will have to pay for this service. Once you find a service your happy for, stick with it. I got called a SEO newbie and a scammer just for providing an honest review yesterday. Folk just want a review but only if its a positive one.
i dont' totally agree with you that one should not give work to people just because they are not experienced enough, how are they going to get expereinced if noone gives them work? i was a newbie once, and one of my clients taught me what i was doing wrong, and what is the proper way to do it. didnt' do the same mistake twice. i personally dont prefer hiring services of two type of people 1- who want to earn without working 2- who are NOT willing to use their heads. 3- always rememebr to check their past works. it speaks volumes. 4- dont' look at itrader anymore, coz people dont' post negative reviews now, for fear of negative itrader on their post themselves. 5. pay well, dont' think too much on money. a person must be able to earn 20$ a day , from your work if you want quality from him. .10c is NOT going to give you quality. it will give you quantity. and bad one at it.
There is one problem with providers who want $6-8, or even $10 per blog comment. You need to realize that many people require 100-500 comments to rank for competitive keywords. Using your service, they'd be spending between $800-4000 to achieve those ranks. Now, think about it for a second. Does it make sense to hire anyone for such a task? Answer: No. Because the simple fact is that salaries above $800 are considered above minimum wage in MANY countries from which DP providers originate from. Why pay someone $800 (let alone $4000, LOL) to comment on blogs, while you could hire them as fulltime virtual assistants (even through dedicated hiring agencies) to do the same thing 8 hours per day, 31 days per month at $500? High-priced blog commenting services just don't make sense. There is no logic in purchasing such a service on a one-off basis if it can be hired as fulltime commitment at 2/3rd of the price.
