    In now a days forums signature links are very useful and it can give you good amount of traffic too. What you need to do is you have to make your signature interesting and it will fetch traffic.

    ya i agree... forums are definitely a good source of knowledge and forum signatures are an added bonus.... it is about sharing knowledge with all others which will definitely help you in getting much more in return...and of course as said earlier, actively participating in the forums will help in people respecting your opinion and people will come to your site...

    whoever says that forum sig is a waste of time then maybe they need to read the books again.
    Forum signatures is one of the best in link building, you gather traffic and backlinks through them just be sure that you have good quality posts...

    I find it useful. Lot's of people follow the links in the signatures if your signatures are related to the discussion going on.

    sig. links works,but only if you have many from different forums.If you have 3000 links from 2 forums-waste of time.100 links from different forums-good SEO

    In my experience, you want to gain links directly to the niche of the forum that you want to rank for. Deep links/ signature links are critical for obtaining ranking for the keywords that you are optimizing for your internal pages. Signature links have big advantages.I hope that helps.

    I don't use signature links for SEO purposes. I like them for the traffic. I'd still post to this forum even if they made the links nofollow. In fact, I wish they would make the links nofollow so all the spam posts would go away.
