    While the more the better and I won't mind more. I am targeting and will be happy with at least $500 a month from Adsense. How achievable is this and how much traffic will my blog need? Anyone knows the average adsense payout?

    Although traffic contributes to adsense income, but other factors must not be left out. Some niche pays better than others, some placement convert better than others while some contents might pull audience more than others.

    Thats totally right.. If you have good niche and also if your content is good enough you are supposed to earn that much or even more than that.
    Many people are earning more than that per month.
    I hope you too earn good from Adsense.

    I put a lot of effort on Adwords+Amazon but now that is over due to the new Amazon terms. So I am focusing on my Blog and Adsense but I remember when i first opened my adsense account a couple of years ago it was hard to even make the $100 minimum. I hope that over this time the payout had become better.

    Yeah...a lot of factor to get much money from Adsense. Your CTR, your Ads placement, your niche of your website, and maybe some LUCKY DAY:D but, still try to get much traffic, and play at good niches. Good luck mate:)

    traffic and niche should be considered to achieve this goal. also the content and ads placement. it should go together,. good luck mate.

    $500/month from a single blog? That's going to take time unless it's an extremely viral niche. It all comes down to content and traffic.

    Over a time period of some years, yes then it will be very possible.

    Agree with the above comments. Hard work doesnt even pay off sometimes. This business is hit and miss. Some folks slend 10-15 years trying to make $500/month on a steady basis. The internet is a savage place.

    Here's my rough estimate as a guideline for you to be able to earn $500/month...

    Page Impressions: 4000 - 5000
    Clicks: 80 clicks daily
    eCPM: between $4 and $8

    Like most of them say, it depends on the niche of your websites....

    300,000+ a month

    you can make $500/month on adsense that way.

    Was alot easier with that traffic 2 years ago but.
