Question to directory owners

Dear fellow directory owners and webmasters, I got 2 questions for you:

1)How often do you visit Digital Point and why?

2)What is the best part of your experience here in DP?

Believe it is a good resource for all webmasters to share ideas and services.

It is where we all roam and talk about SEO and Google in general.
I usually visit DP here also to look at the services/freebies once in a while as well.

 

I assume you are asking about how often we visit the "Directories" forum on DP? If that is the case, then I rarely visit these days. Two or three years ago, the directories forum had a large number of active members that contributed useful information. Nowadays, most of those guys no longer post regularly and alot of what gets posted is spam or utter nonsense.

If you are asking about DP as a whole, the buy and sell forums are where the action is at.

 

No I was asking about the DP forum as a whole not just the "Directory" section. Thanks!

 

i came almost daily for discussion with SEO's & for information i need about google, adsense, dirctories etc.

Interesting - most would then ask why are you posting this in the directory category?

I generally visit daily to see if I can find something - anything worth reading.

Initially - a couple years ago when I stumbled across dp and the directory section I found interesting topics being discussed and learned a lot from the then active members. Since then it has dramatically changed with many of the insightful topics giving way to flame wars and those promoting their own agendas. One does not have to look very far for another useless rehashed post in the wrong category once again.

Honestly my posting has diminished as I find little worth posting on because most of what is generated is rehashes of the same old things being talked about over and over which could be easily found with a simple search....

I also wonder whether it is more harmful than beneficial to expose my sites on dp which is probably another part of why I post less.

This thread was posted in the wrong category...ey...is there a category on DP itself? Suggestions and feedback maybe? As far as posting here in the "Directory" section goes I did it because I am a directory owner myself and I guess you followed the sig already. The best part of posting the thread in this category is that it would be followed by webmasters as well as directory owners; which was my primary intention!
As far as you posting less and less goes, its your choice while I still do not think that new DP threads are full of past repetitions either. Besides, two similar threads posted by two different members at two different times (read: years) are "different" in their own merits. How many members do you know here in DP "search" the content of past DP threads before posting a new thread?

Your answer was interesting...and it does contain some humor too. However, I expected a better "reflected" reply from one of the old members of DP like yourself

DP is really a good and I consider it as a world no.1 webmaster forum. In this internet world, you can't hope from anyone to get right answer of your question...... but DP is only the palce where we share everything with our buddies as we know and have learnt from own experience. Now I feel that we all webmasters are half without DP. It makes us full with it's bunch on informations and it's now become hard for me to run any website without it. It just like my own forum where I learn from others and help to everyone if know anything about the query.

Every sections of DP is most important and I can't say which is my best section. I visit all the section as far as require. If I face problem with design, I run to design section..... for coding problem, I try to solve it into the programming section and I require some money into my paypal account to buy product from Ebay, I start services into the service section. So, all the section are most important and we can't solve our problem by staying into a particular section.

 

It truly is a great community and people have so much to say!

I spend more of my time on this forum reporting misplaced threads and spam than posting these days. Members here have a wealth of experience in running and coding directories but many have left or only lurk. It's worth visiting to find the occasional gems of wisdom or make contact with useful people.

As EveryQuery said the BST forum is probably the most useful.

 

after washing my face in early in the morning (when i wake up) I order for tea to my mother, start labtop, and check my dp and adsense acc first. (may be this is my habit)

and i m here to surve my service, for knowledge/learning any if possible then try to help other.

If you can wade through the BS at times there are useful threads worth the read. I also use it to connect with others in my business.

 

I come here daily and find newly announced directories in solicitations section. Sometimes I find really good tips from senior members. At others, I just reply to questions some newbs ask.
