I need your help guys in figuring what you think about putting main keywords for each page at the top, before the logo and menu.

I add few keywords at the top, with H1 tag. is that good or bad ?

check the home page at top : http://www.impact-webdesign.net/

I think the only problem you may run into is if the google bot thinks you are trying to trick it since the color of the h1 and your background are so close you may be banned and have to resubmit. I don't know if the bot is smart enough to pick up small diffrences like the ones you have, but I know that if you do the exact same color you will definatly be kicked off the index.

What if i make the color bright and everybody can see it ? i don't care of people see it because it will be just a good title... just instead of putting it under the menu and links i want put it close to body tag

I would say to not mess with color html with h1 tags at all.

    You can be at risk.

Seems OK to me. Just avoid repeating keywords more than 3 times in the H1 tag and your page's title.

I know H1 tags are for readers to read.
But not sure H1 tags do work for SEs too.

How about now, i make the font size 12px and white, the background is an image in green. Now visitors can read the H1 too...

Do you think moving it in top beside the body tag will help my ranking ?

All HTML tags play a big role in your site's page rank, you can use H1 tags to get search engine's crawler's attention, but dont use hidden text for this, like there should be difference between your text and back ground color of the site.

Yeah, don't hide text in your heigh weighted tags, it'll be considered as spammy, but use those headings tags wisely to organize your content and get out better results on each googlebot crawl

    I think it's a good idea for 2 reasons:
    1) Google looks to H1 tags to determine what your site is about.
    2) The first words/phrases the Google bot encounters are given priority over what comes after them.

All-in-all, this technique allows you to clearly tell Google what your site is about. Bravo, sir!

    You have different strategies there.
You can either put your niche keywords in the H1 and make them stand for your website title, or you can also use it as the title of your unique page (typically title of the article) but that's less coherent with today's practices.

    What I'd do:
    H1 -> title of the site/slogan
H2 -> title of the article (or articles if on home page)
H3 -> for each segment of your articles

I do use <h1> <h2> <b> .. as highlight for readers easy to read.

But I have question about how do you prove google read <h1> <h2> as your site's important keywords?

    I real like to know.

    Thanks/ Regards
