    No, that would take forever.

Maybe if you were using a handful of paid directories, id prob write a unique description for those, your paying for it after all.

But submitting to free, if thats the case, just write a new one when you feel you should.

if you can do that each time, unique description will be very good.. but its very tedious however you can do one thing, write some 10 to 15 descriptions and keep rotating it while submitting your website to directories

Definitely create as many different descriptions as you can and rotate them in the submissions.

    Hello...

I would recommend after every 300 directory submissions that you change it up
a little as sooner or later it will look like you did too many with same title and description.

    This is only my recommendation...

    thx

Unique descriptions will give best results but they're not a necessity. Rotating through a number of descriptions, and making minor changes here and there is what I do.

It's good to have unique descriptions but they just become killing when you submit to a lot of directories. :)

No you would not and even if you did, it wouldn't make a difference.
I would say though to alternate with the title keywords once in a while.

the description is mostly for the directory site owner's benefit, but the link and anchor text is for your benefit.

It is probably a good idea to submit with different descriptions each time, though it may seem to be a waist of time or time consuming, he result will be better than having hundreds of duplicate descriptions and those may not have counted anyways.

Having different descriptions will look organic as if someone had bragged about your site in a various websites.

The ideal is to have unique descriptions with each submission but that is a huge undertaking which most don't do. Most will write a dozen or two and rotate them with free directory submissions. This is actually one of the reasons why free directories are not as beneficial.

However if your submitting to a pay for review directory make each of them unique for those reasons just stated by wwws.

Concentrate more on rotating the Anchor (website title). That is more important than the description. I create 3-5 titles and sometimes I will create a couple of descriptions and rotate them but not I have found it works the same with different description or not.

You had better create and rotate much more different descriptions in the submissions. The site in your dictionaries will not be repetitive and boring.

I agree with you writing multiple options of the title of the link pointing to your website because having all your title thesame from all your links wont be the best approach.
