    Hello!

    I just wanted someone to please give me advice on how to promote a TV show website. The website is new (http://www.tvlack.com) and by browsing around I found TV shows websites ranking around 30k on Alexa...
    I have very few ideas on how to go about this:
    - posting YouTube videos with trailers and credits (I've started doing this)
    - social bookmarking (including facebook, myspace,...)

    And after that it's just a hole blank, I can't think of anything else to do :(

    Any help dearly appreciated :)

    Thanks alot!

    Best Regards.

    upload short clipping to video sharing sites. You can submit 1 video to all the video sites. YT is the best

    This is going to be very difficult to do as it deals with copyrighted stuff. YT is probably going to pull those clips down.

    @jamaican007: I have started uploading random videos to video sharing websites :), even YT.
    @markn26: I am not uploading hole or parts of an episode, but only the starting credits ;) and some spoilers... YT hasen't pulled any of them down but we're going to see...
    @ianhutter: I am actually building those small auto blogs to create backlinks to the main site ;), thanks for the tip
    @seoguider1: email marketing, hummm, I don't have much experience with that, I'll check it out.

    Thanks everyone who replied ! anyone else have some ideas?

    Because your site is based on media I'd definitely want to advertise mainly through social media sites. Perhaps even commission someone to create a personalised media player with your brand watermarked - that way you can go viral on any quality content.

    Make your clip where it shows you killing a roach...
    You add at the end: this is what is going to happen to you if you don't visit my website...

    Have you tried MyBlogLog and other similar services? There might be other TV show webmasters that you can connect with.

    @Cernus11: Social bookmarking is an option, but there are SO many other websites doing it that i can't seem to find any positive consequences for my site. And for the player, I am currently using go4ent (free), but they let me put my site's name on the player.
    @clades: lol
    @markn26: I'll do that, thanks! I didn't know about MyBlogLog ;)
