In my (limited) experience it's more trouble than it's worth. People like to respond but few follow through.

Yeah craigslist can be a huge pain in the butt. I use it to make money but I flip items for people like, ipods, gaming consoles, 4 wheelers, anything that I can make 50- a few hundred off of. Usually I just flip things for friends.

Or if I have the money I might buy stuff off of crackheads for almost nothing and make money off of it.

    Lol, not recommended though.

Not at all. I just know what a frustration it can be to get unreliable service with a marketing service that is so profitable with the right product. Always looking to help others out.

I noticed that you have made 4 posts so far and they have all been advertising the company that you use. Are you sure you dont work for or own this company.

I tried marketing on craigslist, but the results were not very good.

Instead of the usual ad, what I did - My site has a free classifieds section for the members. I took some of my members items, posted them on craigslist, and included a link back to the ad in my classifieds section. The traffic return was very little. I dont think the effort really helped my classifieds section or my site.

We market the job sections for new sales force as well as marketing our products and services nationally with a lot of success. The secret of it is to get your ads seen and having your ads up when potential customers are looking.

Kev, i am actually planning to start craigslist. It seems that you did not have a good experience. May i know what things you find wrong and what should i avoid to get better results.

    Thanks
