hi, i'ma new member here, and as far as i can see, i love this place. but the thing is, for people like me, i dont have any money to start with, so even $ 1 would make it impossible for me to access it. I'd be ready to pay after i have a bit of money though... :D

EDIT : Just to lay emphasis on the point, once i have say even $ 20 in my purse, heck yea i would pay !

And 67 pence is worth zero over here. It's all relative, huh? I have never even seen a "pence" before. But I am sure you have seen a dollar.:D

I'm surprised to see so many members say no to paying $1/month. I would of expected this kind of result if it was $50/month.

edit: Yes, I would pay. :)

Why you’d pay? Please explain. I’d not pay, because it’s free to join.

Wow... Dude I take back any bad thoughts I had about you, you are pretty righteous. That was totally a nice thing to say! :D

That one guy had a point. I mean, if I didn't know the value of DP and I was broke trying to find my way home a charge of any kind might turn me off a bit. If they let you still read threads that would probably help. There are actually paid forums around, huge member rosters too! That was another consideration. If it was as big as DP it might be worth a second and third consideration.

The thing about donations is nobody actually does it. I guess a few would.... Maybe. I really don't think they would though. People are not THAT charitable when it comes down to it. That is what I experienced on my own sites before anyway. I tried it. Zero donations.

By clutter I mean post clutter not ad clutter. When I joined I was member number 500 and something. Now there are over a quarter million members. The forums were much more focused earlier on, now there are almost too many members with a much more diluted focus.

The only real business model on the Internet (in life sometimes) is being an ad whore. There are those niche things, they don't really pay that great. Once they are out in the wild all the scammers pounce on them and they become useless. I guess I am a n00B at DP, but since I know how sites actually make money I click ads if I like the site. I actually clicked an Adsense here and purchased something. I needed it, so I bought it. It happens.

I've got to read your thing on "Stuffing Up" press releases. I think Internet press releases are a waste of money, but I will check it out. I have done PRWEb and others, total junk visits and no substance ever produced no matter how great the release was. I am gonna check it out though, I am always willing to change my views based upon new information. :D

    edit:

Love the name. GoingRank.com Awesome! Well, I learned. Cool. I made 30 errors on there. (Just kidding). 25. So there!

$1 is not much compared to the many benefits we can get from the forum, so yes for me.
