The LogicBox systems (ResellerClub, NetEarthOne etc.) are alright (but I have to disagree with jiggymehta about the interfaces - the control panel is awful!). They have quite a good API system which I've used on KeywordToDomain.

You can buy domain names from any number of places, but here's a good place to look for available domain names: domainsuperstar.com/dashboard.php?tool=trafficFinder

Go ahead with godaddy. Trust me, its the best reseller program on the net. I do have resellerclub also and I now I am repenting on why I choosed it. Its good for domains only but not for other products.

If you want to sign up under me, I have a discount coupon codes on both basic and pro reseller. See the complete details of the plans at ruchiedomainreseller.com.

Let me know if you have any queries.

Is there any reseller plan for domain names where you dont have to pay upfront, rather pay as you go.

Ctapik, as far as I know, No!

Every domain comes with the following free features :

    • Free Move/Push Service
    • Free DNS Service
    • Free Privacy Protection
    • Free Domain Theft Protection (Domain Locking)
    • Bulk Tools (Bulk Edit/Move/Modify Contacts .. etc)
    • Easy to use Control Panels

Wild West Domains (they have a yearly fee) since they handle the billing of your customers.

Wild West Domains is more like an affiliate program than a reseller plan.

With the lack of control, API and custom payment methods, you're just referring customers to them under your own brand.

Not to mention the annual fee + per transaction "credit card processing" fee.

P.S: I know about their "Reseller API" plan, but that's just a basic API for integrating the products into your site.

Thanks I will look into Wild west domains...
(Amr) If you give this facility at your site then you will have much more resellers then you are actually expecting to have, infact that would be a win win situation.
Look if I am your reseller and I have an account with you, then whebn my cistomer would want to buy a domain he will actually pay you directly and get the domain, now my cut will automatically show up in my account as earned money and I can withdraw it anytime or keep it there.
Iam not saying that you must do this, but if you do then it will be great for me or ppl like me who are new in the business and dont have much clientage at the moment therefore they do not want to invest so much money upfront which can only be received back in a year.
I hope you got my point

Ctapik, I totally agree my friend.

But there's a thin line between being an affiliate and being a reseller using your scenario. By using WWD, you're an affiliate.

I mentioned in one of my previous posts, that we were thinking of offering real reseller accounts for customers like you, where we (XtraOrbit) will be their registrar and 3rd party merchant processor in the same time, but that's still under the hood :)

The difference between our idea and WWD offer is that, you'll have total control on your customers (move/suspend/delete/custom whois ..etc), a full blown API, the ability 'if needed' to integrate your own payment gateways *PLUS* the option to use our own payment gateway(s) "i.e. the customer pays to us, and we fund your account with the profit only".

Anyway, it's not implemented yet, and there's no known ETA :( .. so, good luck with WWD for the moment :)

If you plan to invest more and become a master domain name reseller enom is the best. If you prefer to go for a smaller one choose godaddy according to me.

The great thing is about Wild West Domains and GoDaddy.com's reseller program is they provide 24/7 support and when your customers call up they upsell.

Does your reseller program do that?

Sign up under mine @ http://reseller.aztechconsultants.com/ to save some cash instead of going straight to GoDaddy or Wild West Domains.

PM if you have any questions.

If you are looking to become a reseller of domains, my advice is to go directly from enom or also netearthone
