Obama - most beloved US Pres. Worldwide

Once again, Mr. O has proven why he is the most beloved US President abroad.

    http://edition.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/16/obama.latin.america/index.html

President George W. Bush was primarily concerned with America's capitalist business interests when negotiating foreign trade agreements like CAFTA, where he forced participating countries to break up their monopolies and drop their protective import tarrifs. Conversely, Mr. Obama has maade it clear that that type of bullying is going to stop! He realizes that for these countries to prosper, they need to be on an "equal footing" with the U.S.. According to Obama, "There's no senior partner or junior partner." Had Bush taken just a little bit more time to help the little guy prosper, we wouldnt be in the mess we find ourselves now.

Unlike Bush, Obama is a uniter not a divider.

It is no wonder that Mr. O may be the most popular President abroad in history. I think this goes hand in hand with the new openness with Cuba who we have for too long held down, just because the Neo cons alledge Mr. Catro has committed some type of human rights violations. These people have to be allowed to live their lives how they want to, and Obama understands this! I look forward to a day in the near future when I can travel abroad, hold my head up high and say without concern, I AM AN AMERICAN!

Well... you can be a fan and Obama, and even worship him, but no need to stalinize his personality

Obama is a fresh brand new president with a charming personality and great campaign managers.

If he is that good for America and the world, this we would only know in couple of years time. I believe in him too, but no need to start a new religion...

All his posts are just the rantings of an anti-Obama person. They are made to mock Obama supporters.

Yeah and they're funny as hell. He is one of the most contributive members here, it all reads like poetry.

How do you know he's mocking though, you could just be paranoid. ;)

You guys have obviously misread me. I used to be a small business owner, struggling to grow a business and employ people. Between rising workers compensation insurance costs, employee theft, ridiculous health insurance costs, and taxes from A to Z, it didn't take long to figure out the deck was stacked against me. I was busting my ass 12 hours a day (like most small business owners) to turn out a bit more money than those who I employed, yet they put down their burdens after less than eight hours a day. Not only that, the minute I started to take home a more significant amount of money, I got bumped into a higher tax bracket which actually left me with less at the end of the year. I gave up the ghost, went and got a union job and worked for almost a year before going out on disability. I have never been so happy. My quality of life is better, I spend an incredible amount of time with my large family. I work almost never, (which leaves me lots of time to slum around blogs and forums). Sure I take home a bit less money, but not enough to put me in the slums.

Some people take my rant wrong because I'm more intellectually honest than most, and conservatives DEFINITELY just dont get it. Only 56% of those polled in America now see Captialism as better than Socialism. That number is getting smaller every day as people catch on to what is clearly a better quality of life. Germany is light years ahead of us with an average work week of 37 hours, nearly 20 holidays per year, and long paid vacations starting the first year of employment. What is not to like about that?

Lets face it Conservatives cant even protest right. The media wasn't just out there laughing at your "Tea Party" protest because they are in the bag for us liberals, which they are(Did I mention you guys only have Fox while we have ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and so on). The media was laughing at the protest because it was pathetic. Liberals realized a long time ago that a protest doesn't catch media attention unless you are breaking the rules, whether it be Code Pink crashing un-invited at the RNC, or anti-captialists smashing in windows at the G20. You guys out there with your tea are just, well, weak.

Liberals beat Conservatives on almost every measure available. Most intelligent liberals realize Bush had nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks but we went out and sold that sh*t on practically every media outlet and a good portion of you bumbling buffoons bought into it and made us stronger. Conservatives can't even beat liberals on spending on their initiatives. Bush turned a $259billion surplus into a $434billion deficit, a net change of less than $700 billion dollars in spending over 8 years in office. Mr. O managed to slate in a 2 trillion dollar deficit before his first 90 days in office were done, and most of it went to a potpourie wishlist of the most extreme left people in congress. Again, conservatives are weak.

I nearly pissed myself laughing as you guys all bought into Obama's promise of bi-partisan leadership and you helped elect him into office and he immediately did exactly what his resume promised he would do. What a bunch of chumps!

You guys can march and chant and do your thing, but the truth is, you've already lost. With all the money being thrown at social programs and green initiatives, it won't be long before voting Republican is considered insanity by a more significant portion of the voting population. The people will follow the money. Conservatives need to wake up, see whats going on around them, and embrace it. The minute you quit swimming up stream, catch on to the next best thing, you'll find life is a whole lot better, and certainly a whole lot easier. If you're not smart enough to figure that out, you'll have to bear with me while I laugh at you.

Obamanation, you don't understand Capitalism. You're confusing Free Market capitalism with Corporate kleptocracy. Thats not real capitalism.

You really want to debate against capitalism, then I invite you to read Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt. I know that after reading it, you will change your mind for the better... :)

Free market capitalism? I certainly hope your not referring to the United States. We haven't had free market capitalism in the US for a very long time (If ever). US is a mixed market leaning towards socialism. We've always called it free market capitalism because it was more free market than most other countries on the planet.

The thing that always gives me a chuckle is that people like Chavez, Castro, Stalin, Zapatero, and others who pay all this lip service to social justice, but we in the states did a better job of achieving it than they ever did. They didn't realize that without a some capitalism to generate wealth, true social justice is impossible. Its like a wagon without a horse to pull it along. Obama realizes this and soon, we will be able to pull the poor and impoverished around the world up from the squalor in which many of them live. At the end of the day, this is the real answer to the many violent problems of the world such as "terrorism".

As for changing my mind for the better, I did that years ago as you can read in my previous post. I am living the American dream.

P.S. Did I mention we are also out-breeding conservatives as well?

Of course Americans are starting to like the idea of Socialism. Why work and earn something when you can just get it free from the government? You do realize that if we go to a true socialist country, between 20 and 25 states will secede from the union right?

If I didn't have to deal with the government controling everything, I wouldn't mind socialism. But, bigger government is not better.

I think the only Americans agreeing with socialism are the lazy and unemployed slakers. America is at the top of the worlds economy and many other categories because it is not a sociliast Country. Look at what socialism does? China?

The US has some serious issues with private property rights.

The Supreme Court has ruled that local governments may take private property and sell it for private economic development when officials decide it would benefit the public, even if the property is not blighted and the new project's success is not guaranteed.

I was just pointing out that the number of children per family raised by left leaning people exceeds the number of children per family on the right (on the average). Of course there is no guarantee that these children will grow up with the ideology of their parents.... but an interesting fact nevertheless.

It's eaisier to raise a large family on welfare.

The eminent domain decision has really been used that much by local government because of the housing crisis. I can just imagine Blogo and friends taking your house so that they can sell it to a real estate developer. Once real estate turns around this decision is going to be used and abused.

Open your eyes people, Obamanation is pulling your leg! Read those references again carefully, and you'll see the 'wink, wink' between the lines.

On a serious note, I was surprised to learn Obama's popularity since inauguration is only average when compared to recent predecessors. A reminder of the power of the media to influence perception.
