I use e-texteditor. I think it is great i used to use dreamweaver just because I had it with the adobe suite. However I did a tutorial where the guy was using e-texteditor and I loved so many of the features on it that I went and got it. Now I won't use anything else. Unless I am forced to.
I used notepad before, but when i came to know that notepad++ i preferred to use it, because it is better.
Notepad is great for the begginer, because it helps them to learn the basics and what needs to go into a website. Then after some basics it's better to introduce an autocomplete/syntax highliting editor for efficency. For example I used Dreamweaver's Coding tab to learn, as a result I actually didn't know where to open and close the html tags as these were automatically there. I also didn't know how to correctly insert stylesheets & javascript without autocomplete help!!
Yes, i do. I use Wordpad or Notepad, i am not a coder though i just edit code so there is no need for any php editing programs for me.
Yeah, like a real program developed by professionals, such as Ultra Edit. For scripting, design, and programming projects, this thing just can't be beaten. I've been using it since '00 or so, and I just love the thing to death. Sure, you can get some of what you want from a product such as Notepad ++, but you won't find much to compare with Ultraedit (or ultracompare, it's file comparison partner). I swear, I don't know what I'd do without those any more.
I also use Notepad just for simple modification of the pages! otherwise i recommend Dreamweaver for higher web page editing
I use Windows Notepad for quick edit, but just now I try Notepad2 this is really nice and easy. Thanks
I use notepad for quick editing but I have cpanel on my server so I prefure to edit right in their built in editor
I rarely use notepad for editing html and stuff but it's like my second brain.. I've got 4 wordpad documents open at all times with random jargon and thoughts for projects and stuff...
I use notepad for quick stuff.. Such as setting up test files for the SE spiders.. When i actually touch something I use Notepad++
