Hi I have a site built for the older user aged 60+ The idea is for every visitor to fill out the calculator and I am currently getting around 10-25% conversions. I'm looking to run some Google optimiser experiments to see if I can improve this further so I could use some help in where to move things and how to restructure the page. I know the banner needs work and remember it is designed for an older user so its not a traditional website. http:// www (dot) responsibleequityrelease (dot) co (dot) uk Thanks a million for any help Steve
Your site looks as though it is informative. I like the pictures of the people and settings. I am more graphically oriented, but I am also 40. Parhaps a couple of more pics. I suggest the sentence Responsible have teamed... should be 'has' I was a bit confused. I would like to see the calculator, or a link to it, in view so I don't have to scroll to get to it. Looks good! Cheers. Billl
Thanks Billl I'm working on getting the calculator completely above the fold. It'll take a lot of rearranging but I'll get there!
I would suggest that you make the main menu (across the top) a bit larger, and keep the text within the site a bit smaller. In particular, try to make the question subheadings (i.e., "What are Equity Release Schemes, Lifetime Mortgages and Home Reversion Plans?") smaller. As for the testimonials, maybe you can make the quotes italicized.
The site idea is good - but i whould like to see some more interesting design ideas. You can look at my latest article i did at www.pfalanor.com (front page). To me it looks like a defalt site or Web 1.0 - i think it needs Web 2.0 at least.. otherwise good work ..
