Hey guys. I am getting irritated. When I first Launched this site I was getting around $7 for 30 clicks. I have a network of proxy sites which these clicks are coming from. What do you think the problem is? I tried blocking certain countries via htaccess.

The click amount depends on various factors like user location, AD location so you might be getting users from regions that don't do well with clicks. Look into your stats. Further, you might be smart priced.
Google is just as greedy as the rest of em. Pisses me off to no end, just when I think I will be making a decent amount they screw me.

1.95 for 40 clicks?? Well, that's a typical day for me, and most of the times it gets worse, earning about 0.01/0.03... I need to get about 3000 visits/day to see some action in the earnings, but it's definitely some I couldn't live from...
It took me a second to parse "$1.95 for 4 clicks" when combined with the angry face icon... I was genuinely confused as to why you were upset until I read your post . Don't worry, things will turn around in a few months. These things go up and down, just keep focusing on developing your sites for now.
why? even if a country gets you a cent a click,do you not want that money?is the higher ppc more important then the amount? any new site can get some clicks near or more then a dollar.your just seeing now how much ppc you can expect from a proxy. almost 5¢ a click isn't that bad,it can be worse.
About a year ago I tried blocking a bunch of countries according to geoip mapping, mostly due to a ridiculous amount of bandwidth being consumed by lots of idiots in a few countries abusing the hell out of my servers. In the end, I gave up and just went with extremely restrictive firewall settings for critical services, along with fail2ban to null route malicious hosts. it wasn't worth the effort of keeping up with the blocks, and I really didn't notice any appreciable difference in income from the earlier blocking efforts.

That's not a terribly productive reply; most of the people here are beginners, and frustration due to lack of experience is understandable. We all started somewhere, and I prefer to offer constructive advice and encouragement to those who are genuinely trying to figure things out. There was a time when you didn't know what the heck you were doing, either.
The title really get me confused; 1.95 for 4 clicks. It was 1.95 for 40 clicks. anyways don't worry too much as it will get better. Sometimes that's how it works with Big G. It probably has to do too with your site getting seen on some trigger happy countries with extremely low paying ads. Just my 2 cents JulieV
Possibly that the issue is with your niche, or you have been smart-priced, or we are all going down the drain due to the current economic situation.
