I was wondering if their is a way to change your IP frequently without the use of proxy on broadband?

Ya buddy you can do this if you have a dynamic IP.
Just open the command prompt and type ipconfig /release this will remove your present ip address.

Now type ipconfig /renew this will give you a new IP address. But remember to add the spaces, and this only works for dynamic IP

There are a couple of websites that allow you to hide your IP, search for them on google. :)

You can use the "TOR network" to be anonymous online for free. Just google that phrase. You only need to fear tour if you're in China and posting things their government won't like or in the US posting things related to terrorism. Its a fact that both the Chinese and US governments have servers supporting the Tor network and they use it to try and snoop on users though this is very hard for them to do.

Change your MAC address and it will force a new DCHP request ( which should give you a new IP address ).

It depends on you ISP connection, if they provide a dynamic IP based connection, then you won't need a such kind of software.

Set up for dynamic connection. It's really the simplest and best solution.

The release renew commands don't always work because you usually get the same ip number back. The best thing you can do is unplug your modem before you go to bed and plug it back in when you get up.

The best way is to log into your cable modem and change the MAC address. This will force the device to request a new IP from the network.

May be silly and slow, but dialups give you a new IP every time you sign in. May be useful in some ways.

If I need a high speed IP change I just take the modem back to the company and they issue me a new modem with a new IP.

I also have got a new IP for shutting off my modem and being away for a few days, come back and its a new IP.
