I heard of sites being banned, penalised and sandboxed by google. Can someone shine some light on me. How do you get banned, penalised and sandboxed and how do you avoid getting banned, penalised and sandboxed.
I have a question.. If I have a landing page and I make all links go to say signup.php and then I make signup.php a simple redirect to the affiliate url. Is this okay? Or does Google not like this?

Read Google's Webmaster Guidelines... study them... reread them again... and again... If you violate them and Google finds out (through an automated detection, manual review, or spam report) you will likely suffer their wrath with a penalty.
for me getting banned by google and getting rank by them are the same,for me it is same difficulty and I dont think I have time to study how to get penalized with them
You will get banned by google only if you use "Black hat SEO tactics, also called spamdexing" I think there isn't a complete list of "Black hat SEO tactics", but it is easy to figure out, what to do and what not to do. Good luck !

Google will penalize your site if you do spamming and create doorway pages. Avoid black hat methods like that. Remember that in SEO, it's the quality of links that counts, NOT the quantity.
