How many clicks to get banned?

ive heard so many stories about innocent people being banned, so if i see an i ad that i want to look im click that one ad and dont do anymore, even if there are more interesting ones. like, the ones at the top of DP, i wouldn't mind having a look at!

how many clicks do you think it takes to get someone banned?

If you're asking about clicks in Adsense - 1 click is enough ;)

There is nothing to be afraid of. Just don't click your own ads:)

I got banned in the beginning even when I myself did not clicked on my ads. Sometimes it happens some well wisher clicks your ads and boom you are banned:rolleyes:

viewing other users advertisements is perfectly fine. You are still a user of the internet and this advertisement applies to you. If you are interested in it then you are a potencial customer since the ad is displayed to you.

Therefore, You arent going to get people banned because you look at their advertisements.

    Ipotetical:

i'm in a network of more than 1000 computers behind a firewalled proxy server and 50% of this networks use my website. Of course some of then click on ads.
I'm in danger to get BANNED ?

Not sure who "Ipotetical" is but I will answer it for them

You probably run a proxy site at a school (just guessing why 500 people on one "network" use your site) and it always spells trouble.

I certainly wouldn't ever sign into your account on one of those computers but to answer your question, Google usually sees all of your clicks coming from one IP as suspicious.

Question 1 - You can make mistakes, and TBH I doubt G bans you for 1 accidental click, just be carefull and don't have 2 many accidents.

Question 2 - Yes, it is a problem to live with, not only when you are at school, but 4 example if you work in a large company, or some1 at a large company (+1000 employes) start clicking ads.
In any case I believe G has that covered, just imagine those videos and images we all share by e-mail and send to everyone. It's easy that at a large company some1 forwards that to 10 people and then those 10 to more 10 each and in 4 hours every single person hit the site.

    Now what?

Well, theres the risk of 1000 people clicking someones ads, and I doubt that he/she'll get banned 4 that.
Just imagine a file hosting site like imageshack...

Hope I was clear enough. ;)

Where i work there are about 20,000 - 30,000 behind a firewall/proxy, all with a single IP address. Just to be safe (and so i could sleep at night) i banned that IP from my site.
A few webmasters have told me that's overkill, and i'm paranoid.. I tell them they are right.. but it's one less thing for me to worry about..
