Just wondering if Craigslist.org is of any use? Some one said that its a gold mine but all my ads are getting flaged for no reason. May be I am not allowed to give many ads in 1 particular day. Can some one let me know the exact reason why my ads are getting flaged? Thanks.
I guess your ads might have been flagged by the moderator team or craigslist users for violation of the craigslist terms of use. http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/flags_and_community_moderation
Craigslist is fairly sophisticated by now. If you leave a lot of duplicate ads they'll figure you out quick and ban you. I know people get around that with mass-submission software. Even with that you should not make your ads scream SPAM otherwise you're wasting your time.
there are ways to avoid that, but you need to be creative. anyways, direct spam will not help you much...
I've had mine pulled for trying to blanket an area - but if your post is legitimate, it should be okay.
How succesful do people find craigslist works for them? I personally do not like the craigslist platoform
You can make money with Craigslist, especially with CPA offers, but it's difficult to do it yourself. It's best to hire a poster and either respond to the ads yourself or setup an autoresponder.
i market craigslist HARD, and make a substantial amount from it. i'm talking 500+ posts daily. but the methods for mass posting used today are much more advanced than those previously used. i had to totally rework my craigslist system not long ago. really these days, you need to be looking at investing a decent chunk of money to be adequately setup for serious craigslist marketing. probably more than most dp'ers are willing to drop...
bobchrist:I guess your ads might have been flagged by the moderator team or craigslist users for violation of the craigslist terms of use. - - - - - Yes, what marketers keeps ignoring is that 99.9% of this stuff is explicitly a violation of their terms of use. And their way around it is to pretend it doesn't matter and do it anyway. All one needs to do is spend a day reading the areas they post in to realize that it's a user moderated community that hates noise that pretends it isn't noise, and they flag it off. End of story. It's a lazy person's place to market because it's free. But it's free and they allow the users to run it. So, for example, legit dealers that are liked by the users in the category are allowed to post daily. Ones that just make annoying barely dressed up click through spams are flagged, and now there are as many autoflagging programs as there are autoposting ones. No one goes to craigslist looking for what marketers offer, or are fooled into clicking through. They're selling strollers and guitars and replying to personals. Those who claim otherwise are just flapping their jaws. f
In addition to posting from a unique IP address you need to have unique content for the ads to avoid ghosting. I used to use an article spinner to turn a master ad into 20-50 unique ads
Using CL as a way of promotion and/or marketing is great. You just need to get your ad in the right category. Its really simple. If your promoting a blog for making money, then try small biz ads, I put mine in there all the time and no flag. Great resource.
It looks ugly its very functional. It has faster page loads than any other site of equivalent size online which is one of their primary goals.
