OK I'm a bit worried... I recently have been investing a lot of time, money and effort into my websites's link development and I was expecting a number of PR 5's and 6's in this update but not a single on of my sites changed in PR with exception of one domain name which received PR but the domain isn't even being used yet... the site hasn't even been created, yet has also been cached when it is non existent... In addition to this craziness all my site's backlinks have been updated but no corresponding PR update???

What's going on? Is there any chance that Google is still updating, and that my sites

Hmm, about exchanging links, did you read about Matt Cutt's blog entry regarding swapping unrelated links between each other and ended up being penalised by Google?

For example, travel site selling backlinks to PHP tutorial or hottest property in Maine. Just letting you know, in case this could be the reason?

I read that thread to page 10 and didn't see an answer specific to my question so then I posted a "New Thread" and it was merged into this thread... thus the reason I have two identical posts in this thread (I thought my first new thread didn't get created so I recreated it and it was also merged into this thread)... a mod just PMed me to explain what happened.

I didn't read it but I'm aware of it and I focussed on getting links from relevant and high PR sites... still no PR change...

If your link exchange was done too recently, maybe it didn't account yet with Google. Just like one of my sites, I'm very sure it has about 1K+ backlinks but Google only shows 300+. I did the backlinks very recently, so it might not be there yet for yours too.

Well, that stinks. My web site went live on June 12th, and so far no PR and no backlinks showing in Google (at least the site is in the index).

Would I be correct in assuming I'll have to wait several months for Google's next update?

I saw that there are no movements on SERPS for like 2 or 3 days ( perhaps more i omit to check for a while ). So i guess its just BL & PR update

Nonny, from my observation and past experience, yes. 12th June is actually very recent. BUT, bear in mind that even with PR0, you can still get traffic until the next updates. It's not the end of the world for you.

But I saw few sites got PR4 with just 20/25 backlinks and some with more than 1000 backlinks remained same ?

I have also noticed that the SERPs have become quite stale... not dancing quite as much as they used to.

I got a 6 on one of my sites and I didn't even do anything. All my backlinks are on MySpace profiles.

Yes, I've seen that kind of statistic before. In fact, I have seen a site that only has 2 pages indexed by Google but it gets PR7. Rather weird, but that is for Google to know and for us to find out.

My guess is that the one with 25-backlinks do get quality inbound links, so it gets PR4. The other one with 1000 backlinks but of lesser quality inbound links, supposedly should get higher PR, but it doesn't.
