    I want to buy a domain, its .com is not available. So should i go for .net, .in or .co.in ?

    Which one of these are better for SEO.

    My primary audience is people from India, so will a .co.in or .in site be placed higher in Google India's result page ?

    you can take co.in or .in domain coz you want to take traffic in india so you can choose one of these two.

    My opinion: .net by far. Globally known gTLD vs ccTLD is no comparison, IMO.

    If your audience is from india and your contents is related to indians then I suggest .in for that.

    Budget wise .net is better :D

    .in is best if you want regional traffic. I see a lot big sites like ebay using .in when it comes to Indian traffic.

    And more established sites use .in rather than co.in as far as I have observed.

    Since your target market is India. So you should opt for .in or .co.in rather than .net.

    Dot ORG is the best, after that go for dot COM.

    For india go for .in, but the difference is none compared to .co.in and .in.

    .in would be better if you are targeting Indian users.

    however, it may have a negative impact on non-Indian SERP's and you may lose some traffic.

    you have to choose between the two.

    If you are making the site for Adsense and it is a high paying niche, I suggest you go for net.

    For some of my sites which use Indian ccTLD's, my US traffic gets me 10 times the CPC compared to Indian traffic and thus I regret using these domains.

    had I used .com domains, I would have had less traffic from India, but more earnings.

    in my opinion, you should try to find other name .com, all the big companies have com domains, google, yahoo, hotmail etc...
