I know there are a lot of people here that use ezinearticles.com
some of my articles are getting denied for this and that...

If you know, please help solve this..

    Problem: General Error

this is like border line stupity...they tell me that I have a general error
in my article, but fail to tell me what it is, then display a contact
link, well its been 3 days...

Problem: Sorry, your article contains more than 2 self-serving active links.

the links are in my resource box..? of course its self serving, why in the hell would anyone publish and article with their link no where to be found...
exactly how many links are allowed? within the article and/or resource box?

I guess I would get super fast response time if I was a paid member...

can anyone help with these issues?

    Thank-You

its been almost two weeks now, and not one damn article published yet.

Well, if it says you have more than two self-serving links, then I would assume that, of course, you'd be allowed two self-serving links.

General Error could be an error in their system.

As to the response time. First priority goes to paid members, always. And second, you know how much stuff they get every day? No you don't. Neither do I. But I would think that it's a fair bit more than a few.

Interesting...no worries then...I will fix and re-submit and wait yet another week :)

does anyone know if ezine allows short urls, such as tiny...or tracking urls?

    Hiya dscurlock

Like said above maybe you have more than two links in your resource box?

Ezine articles only usually allow two links these days.

Also if your article has not long been rejected and you correct and resubmit it, it shouldn't take as long as a week.

I find if I get an article rejected and resubmit it quick then it will only take a few extra days to get approved.

Also sometimes some editors at ezine articles can be pickier than others.

    Hope this helps

p.s. I don't think ezine articles allow shortened url's in the resource box.

Perhaps you have a serious grammar problem? Ezinearticles do not like crap. Read their guideline otherwise you will get rejected for the next 50 times.

so what is the best way to monitor articles? no matter where they are posted..if you can not track them, how do you find out how good they are doing?

    Hiya dscurlock

You can monitor your articles from your ezine articles account.

Login to your account and put your mouse on "author tools", then click on "view my article reports".

On that page you can see how many views and url clicks your articles have had.

Then if you click on the actual number of views any article has had, you can view the actual search terms that people were searching for to find your article on google.

I know this is not a very good way to track your article statistics, but it is the only way I know of. I would love it if someone knew another way, and could chime into this thread.

    I hope this helps.

P.S. I am not 100% sure that you aren't allowed to use shortened url's in your resource box. Maybe you should check with ezine articles themselves.

I would think common sense says they are not allowed either, but I have contacted them anyway.... I could always use url tracker on less common sites that would not care, such as lessor article sites, forums, blogs, and other less used sites. I might create a url tracker script, even though i may not be able to use it on ezine, but I still can see the use for it on tons of other advertising sites, and I can include a detailed stats report on exactly where the traffic is coming from...I may not be able to use it over at ezine, but I still will be able to use it in a number of other ways...

In my experience there is no Rhyme or Reason when it comes to EA. It all depends on the editor at hand. I've submitted articles before where they would not approve them due to something stupid like: "This article does not adhere to EA guidelines and is not informative and blah blah"

Well, guess what, what I do is NEVER EVER change a single thing and just hit Re-Submit button. It ALWAYS gets approved the second time. Which brings me to conclusion that some editors are bitter because they either don't get laid, hate their job, suck at writing and are jealous of your writing style or whatever...

With URL links, it's different I guess. You really have to read their policy as it always changes. They used to allow you to practically make the whole sentence into a hyper-link now they only allow like 3 words max. (again sometimes it also depends on editors mood)

LOL you know, I have done exactly the same thing. One of my articles got rejected for spelling errors. I checked the article over and there was absolutely no spelling errors at all. I just clicked resubmit, and it got accepted the second time around even though I changed nothing.

Ezine articles did that too me awhile back and I just resubmitted the same exact article and told them there was no error and they accepted. Once my article was rejected in the same manner and when I asked for clarification they told me that all links must be below the fold as well as my links could not be more than a three word anchor text. A lot of the time it just depends on which person you get accepting the articles.

Happened to me too. I did what primeelite did and told them there was no error. Just resubmitted the article. :)
