Hi guys, I cant believe this but someone's offering $15K USD for my noxiously.com and the way he wrote seems professional. I'm not sure if it's for real but anyway, can anyone give me a piece of advice as to how I should sell expensive domains? I heard about escrow, sedo, but I'm not sure how they actually work. (Not sure whether I should have posted this on Payment Processing instead) -How is it safe to sell through sedo? -How is it safe to sell through escrow payment service? Also, if I happened to be scammed, is it possible for me to obtain back my domain name through name.com?
Congrats! I've been in the same boat as yourself! I remember being very surprised quite a few times when randomly approached to sell off a domain name for a good amount of money. I used Escrow.com and it always worked out perfectly. You are one hundred percent protected, and you won't have to worry about losing possession of your domain name if a payment is not made (for instance, if trying to use Paypal.com). Escrow has a great domain name transfer system and I recommend them. Good luck with whatever you choose!
next they will ask you to get an appraisal from their trusted source. if this happens, run, don't walk...
Thanks for the reply heh, I didnt believe it at first, till I your replies. Just to check with you guys, by Escrow, you mean escrow.com rite? Cause sedo's using escrow too. :d
Go for escrow coz you can eliminate middleman which is sedo. Well, scam still can happen when you using escrow, but the risk is minimal if you follow the step announce by escrow.
seems very high for the name..I too think theres a appraisal scam behind this..using an escrow service is highly advisable
I've always being a client of "Escrow.com", and they are perfect .. you should go with them. Lucky Fellow
congrads !!! both escrow and sedo is good btw just beware if they ask you to get a professional valuation by a unknown company they recommend, its called appraisal scam, which you pay some $ to get the domain appraised and they dont buy after that
Most likely the so called "buyer" will ask for an appraisal. If so, it's a scam. If not, congrats, you've hit the jackpot for that name! I would use Escrow.com to complete the transaction
Yeh, I realised it was an appraisal scam so I didnt continue with it. Thanks for the concern and advice people!
