Yes, you can use your LaPtop without the battery, but it's better to use it with the battery. It won't damage your battery. One more reason to have the battery installed is that in case the electricity stops your laptop will remain turned on and you can save and continue doing your work.

Yes you can. I'm using my laptop without a battery right now. Unless you have a power backup, you should consider what blichev wrote.

I don't know if all laptops are the same, but I've run an IBM Thinkpad and a Compaq Presario without batteries in them.

You can run ANYTHING without a battery as long as you have a different power source.

Any appliance designed to use both batteries and an external power source is designed to protect the batteries when you are using the external power source.

it is better to unplug the batt while you are using power on ur laptop because some people say that if you did not do so your batt will run out easily

I always remove the battery when my laptop is plugged in so that the battery doesn't over charge. Over charging causes the battery life to decrease.

Of course you can, because when you are just on power, 70% of electric energy goes in laptop and 30% goes to battery, if you unplugged battery you can see that you are still on your laptop. I hope I helped you.
    Thanks!
