I recently read a blog about google page rank algorithm. They are mentioning
if we exchange a link with PR5 site with outbound link 3 our pages PR chance will be 2.3 (PR5/3=2.3).

What do u think about this?

is partners outbound links a factor in our page's PR?

Google doesn't show all backlinks through this (link:www.yoursite.com) method.
but we can find more links through google's webmaster tools.

    What do u think guys?

I think it is kind or realistic. As far as PR is concerned, It is better to receive one link from a PR5 website that 150 links from a PR 0 website.

Your webmaster tool definitely gives you a more clear picture of your backlinks. even tough i still prefer yahoo

Are you asking if it matters how many outbound links are on your partner's page?

And what do you mean by "our pages PR chance" ?

it's usually worked out that way. but it's also important that the backlink is quality link, not only the PR, but also the topic.niche.category.

but to be honest, it's not that easy to calculate. there are many more variables and conditions to give you PR.
