PR3 in less than a day?

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by Fadmin, Apr 6, 2009.

In the domain sales section, I see people selling PR3 domains which were just registered a day before.

How did they manage to get a PR3 in one day or less than a day?

So I checked their backlinks, and most of them came from some foreign sites with foreign languages on it.

    I don't understand!

Check archive.org or whois.sc to see if they were old sites. The domain registration may have lapsed and they were dropped & re-registered.
    ... or it's fake PR.

They must be the dropped domains. or they are having the face page rank. Such domains most probably lost their PR in the next update.

They must have purchased it from others and trying to earn profit from it

Like Auctions or domain sales or expiring domains which many dont renew

Its nothing to wonder about , But yes i can understand your curiosity :) , i also had it when i was new to domain business

How long do dropped domains keep their old Page Rank, does anyone know? Or does it stay permanently because of backlinks?

Its depends, however there is no certainty that dropped domain with huge back links will secure the page rank but it has seen quite often that the domain with heavy back links don't loose their PR. So, if you are planning to buy any dropped domain with PR then look for huge back links and don't change actual theme of the website. :)

    Thanks & Regards

I don't think a site can have PR 3 in a day so it suggests that these are dropped domains.

I managed to get to PR3 in 30 days which I guess is a quick time :)

Domains used for websites with cotent which gained valid PR, then for some reason the site is removed the domain expires and someone else registers it before google updates the PR.

It depends, I have had ones last just 2 or 3 days, others a few months and one or two have kept it.

Dealing in dropped domains is really a lottery, you get what you get.

Probably Fake PR. You need to watch out for that and run it tough google's database just to make sure.

a droped domain isn't registered in 2009. It's renewed in this year, not registered.

As MayurGondaliya said, Google will most likely drop their pagerank soon.

Such domains losses there PR within few days and the buyer is always scammed in such cases as they think that PR to those domains is genuine.
