I just put it up last week, the pay is really bad compare to adsense. 12 clicks only $0.7 while I get over $0.7 for each click with adsense.
Yeah, I've also had the same experience with kontera. It works well if you have a lot of websites or a ton of visitors, but overall they payouts are very low.
I've used Kontera on my site and while I don't continue to use it at the moment, I'd be open to using them again. It's best to keep your expectations different for Kontera vs. AdSense; think of Kontera as a supplement rather than a competitor or replacement for AdSense. For some people (the guy who runs GrownUpGeek.com, for example), Kontera performs extremely well, often rivaling AdSense. For most others, from the anecdotal evidence I've been able to gather, it doesn't come anywhere close to AdSense earnings, but it always nice as a supplement.
12 clicks $0.70 is better than me, i have 100 click only give me about $1.50. And they lower down my loading speed. Therefore, i was out from kontera
I have it before on my other blogs, but removed it immediately. I am not sure about the payments, but I am more concern about the reaction of my readers. It's like fooling them with the contextual link because they think it's an internal link. Besides, they divert the attention of the visitors from clicking Adsense. As I have noticed, Kontrera users are getting few.
I got 2 payment from Kontera before i decided to stop using them : )) at least .. i lasted for 2 payments!
Used kontera a long time back, and they paid me well. But then i got a better paying in-text program, "Info links" so i removed kontera. However if you have niche sites with good traffic, then the pay per click amount will be slightly more with kontera
I will give it another week and see what happens since some people said it takes 1 week for them to optimize the advertise. The big problem I have now is most of the time it shows irrelevant advertisement on my site.
Exactly same for me too.. I'm getting just around $1 for 80+ clicks or so daily.. BTW..niche is celebrities,movies.
Kontera and other inlinex contextual text advertisement companies normally pay low because of low ad inventory they have. They cannot provide amount like big companies like adsense. We tried kontera but its too low paying

i recommend you to use infolinks.com and yes you can use it at the same page with adsense. kontera is not even worth to look at it, paying very low, and read their terms carefully, they have very legal way to take your money, free advice just don't use it, search for topics about kontera and see for your self. they pay less than 0.01$ for clicks and even less. lol
Kontera pays low, but they pay on paypal, so it can be useful to grow the paypal account in order to pay for web hosting. I wish adsense would allow us to be paid via paypal sometimes.
