I changed the titles of some of my post, even though they are related to my main keywords I also changed some of the content and changed the layout as well. Will that affect any SEO on my blog? Thanks Ruben
YES! BIG TIME! I just tweaked a client's title tags and once Google re-indexed he jump up 6 positions. However, this was still after I have optimized his site. But it did another jump after I change title tags.
Hi, yes changing titles and contents properly will bring greater result (as well as bad result if you dont use them properly). I have been very dependent on Title and content optimization, they give greater benefits if used properly..
I guess I did it right because two days ago I could not find my site, this morning my site was in page 17 in Google, came home posted in a few do follow sites and then I checked again and now it's in page 13, Can you check my site and tell me what you think. Thanks Ruben
It definitely can help, and by utilizing your title to target your desired keywords, you should definitely see a rise in your serp.
This is kind of an odd question to me. The reason people optimize sites is to invoke positive change. Changing your site can increase or decrease it's value. So this is pretty vague.
Done correctly, it can help a lot. Done incorrectly, it can hurt a lot. I suggest baby steps if you're not at least 90% sure of what your doing. If you make too many changes at the same time and it has negative effects, you are not going to be able to relate the cause to the resulting effect. You want a 'controlled experiment' like in a Chemistry lab with limited changes. Rather than making lots of changes to a single page at once, it's sometimes better to make a single change to lots of pages at once. Keeping up with the changes you've made and progress can teach you a lot... <title> element changes can get you the most bang for the buck since the <title> is the most important on-page ranking factor at Google (and most search engines). Before making the changes to the <title>s, check what your current rankings are for each keyword phrase targeted by your pages you'll be changing. Record the rankings and keywords with the date, URL that ranks, and current <title> value for each of the URLs you are changing. Then change the <title> elements of those pages. Monitor the pages' cache dates. Allow Google to crawl them a few times before jumping to any conclusions. Sometimes it takes a few crawls for rankings to settle into their new position. After a few crawls, if your keyword phrase ranking goes up then move on to the next change. If your keyword phrase ranking goes down and doesn't seem to be recovering, consider backing out the change and restoring your old <title> value which you should have in your log OR changing the <title> to some new value. Log each change with all the same info listed above. After <title> is optimized move on to the <h1>s... then <h2>s if applicable. Then tweek how you link to the page from other pages on your site - the link text. Be sure to vary your link text. Then tweek your content. You can do a lot just by optimizing your <title>, header elements, and link text.
layout change might not affect seo progress but edit in content and edit title will definately change your progress
Yup! I might either drop down your SERP or you might improve your SERP. But usually, when you are ranking good in your targeted KW, you should ADD new content rather than to edit / change your current content.
Of course. It most definitely does. From experience, I can say that having changed my website Title to contain some of our most important Keywords, it jumped to the first page on Google results.
