Hi Guys, I thought I would write another post that may help a few of you that are newer and struggling with article marketing. In this post I thought I would address how I construct my articles to get more click throughs and that means more customers! Ok here is how I do it: 1. When you begin the article make sure that you mention you offer a solution at the bottom. I know on EZA you are not allowed to write a sales page as an article but you are allowed to say something like: "In this article I will be addressing the problem XYZ and telling you a bit more about this and then at the bottom of the article you can also find a viable solution" Yes you will find that you get alot of people that do not read the whole article but they will also click through and you will see more sales! 2. Make your articles short and to the point! When you are writing your articles I try to keep them 250 - 300 words but make sure you have good content. Here is an easy way to write your articles: Start by telling them what you are going to tell them, then tell them, then end by telling them what you told them! 3. Lastly make sure the title is REALLY good, this is an important point as the better the title the more views you will get. How do you make a good title, well I tend to offer the hint of a solution in the title: like: "How To Get Rid Of Spots - Proven Method To Clear Up Skin In 7 Days - So Simple!" You see I have mentioned the keyword "how to get rid of spots" - how quick it works and also that it is easy! There you have it, if you write every article like this you WILL see more click throughs and more sales! Let me know if you can think of any more tips and what you think? Hope this helps some of you! All the best Chris
Nice tips for Article marketing beginners. It's good to see that you are trying to help newbies here to learn more about all this stuff. Well done.
Key phrase density is also crucial to get an article to rank well in the search results pages. I would think a 300-word article needs to repeat the key phrase 4+ times, if possible.
Yeah, some real nice tips there Chris. Some of the members who are starting out with article marketing will really appreciate it. Shame we're not grown up enough for stickies on this forum............
I have been following the 2nd and 3rd point. Will try out the first point and hope for a higher CTR. right now mine is just too low. Thanks for the tips buddy.
Excellent tips I'm sure beginners will appreciate your efforts. I've noticed something that is pretty obvious in article marketing, the really good content does not only have a higher click through rate but it's being picked by tens of other publishers which only means a higher number of incoming links to the landing pages. When I started submitting article I though it's just a number's game, well it is .. Submitting 10 articles daily is a great target and they will definitely make money but it's about quality as well. I'm a member of www.ideamarketers.com (a popular article directory) and just received a free report in my mail today which I'd like to share. Some crucial article marketing tips have been explained that everyone should be aware of. -- http://www.ideamarketers.com/reports/ Article marketing is all about proper keyword research, quality and quantity.. Hope that helps
Thanks for your kind words guys! I am glad some of you found it useful! viqifrench: Yep, how could I forget about that excellent advice about keyword density. Adrianwart: Regarding your landing page although you do want it to be optimized for the phrases that you will target, you also want to use your landing page for where the real push for the product begins. It works well to tell a story about your own experiences with the product and how it helped you. You just use the articles to get them there on your landing page, and then in turn use the landing page to push the product and eliminate all questions and doubt. If you have anymore questions let me know. All the best Chris
Great Tips...well done the only other thing I would add is of course making a killer resouce box, many fall short here.. Like yourself I prefer the shorter articles 250-300 word in the body...but I like making my resource box a double paragraph.. I write 2 paragraphs and make it blend with the body of the article so that the reader flows naturally into my sales pitch..and a double paragraph resource box works great for this and a chance to score both links and anchor texts for seo in that section too this way.
I get 20 - 25% URL clickthroughs for my ezine articles. What percentage is considered good enough? I guess it is 60% or what?
Yep, grayth I wrote a post about the resource a while back this is essential like you say! Excellent tip about the anchor and standard links as well! Jacky8, your clickthrough rate will depend on your niche, how the article is written and whether or not it is in the search engines ranked well. There is no set rule however I think following the rules above you can get it higher. Some of my articles have 40%, others have 60% clickthrough rates. Hope this helps. Chris
Very nice tips Chris. These tips are really helpful for those marketers who are dependent on Article Marketing especially the beginners. +Rep added.
Chris may i ask an important question? Is it still possible to use article marketing to get to the first page on google for big niches like weight loss or "get gf/bf back" guides? Because these niches are so saturated already and its impossible to find a keyword phrase for which you can rank on first page but also receive decent traffic. I have written 2 articles about getting back a girlfriend (still pushing out more) but after 2 days they receive almost no traffic because they are no longer featured on ezinearticles homepage. Do you know some tips that could help me to succeed in this big competitive niche? Thank you very much in advance
