Blogussion.com - New Design

Hello everyone,

I have a blog called Blogussion, and it is a blog about blogging. About 15 minutes ago, we launched a new theme there I have been working on. We use the DIYThemes Thesis themeand have modified it to give us a more unique look from other Thesis users.

So, I would love to know what you think of this design. I have been working on it for a while, so any kind of opinions/criticism I get on it would be greatly appreciated.

The blog is well designed the template, the color scheme, and the layout is good and it's easy to navigate.

 

why not write some text on your logo box?

@ Sarirejo - there are still some tweaks we have to work on, and your suggestion is in fact one of the highest priorities at the moment. We still are unsure what to put there exactly, because it needs to be as simple as possible. If are expecting to you it as our favicon too; so nothing complicated

 

It is very professional design . I like the theme .
I also suggest the you can apply some catchy color to the post title.

 

At the first look, i found teh design pretty decent.
The blog is well designed, color scheme and layout is done, with some good thinking.

Nice and attractive site. Just add more blog items in the page instead of empty space in home page.

 

no search bar. I have also reported this to Janith

 

I didn;t like the first impression so good...The menu bar at the top, after the logo, has really big fonts, try shortening that...

 

good looking site, may be you can do something which will remove the horizontal scroll bar (mine is a 17" monitor, at 1024 X 768 resolution).

The black rss image overlaps the right and top border, needs a little work there. And There should be a search option in the site.

 

Excellent site, really impressed with the design. I also really like the way you list your blog posts - it allows the user to view more posts that may interest them without having to scroll down too much.

 

I have added a Search bar to the Archives page, but now I am also starting to think I need to put it sitewide. Thanks for suggesting it, expect one very shortly.

I did some tweaking, hopefully the horizontal bar is gone. If not (it probably won't be), I will look more into that. And I have fixed the RSS icon too, I just did some stupid coding stuff to make it misalign like it did.

Thanks! That's the whole point of switching to a magazine look - we can now fit way more posts onto the page, and the best part is that people don't have to scroll forever. Glad you noticed that.

I feel that font size is a bit too heavy.. otherthan that, the site looks good.

 

Are you talking about the font size in the post area, or in the header?

it is prefect, easy to use easy to handle and etc, 10/10 for me.
