Throw me some cool vbulletin mods that are cool or a must-have. Things like making your forum faster, or a feature enhancement, SEO or maybe something that would be a hit with a forum dedicated to guitar. :)

Any plugin mods that add a new captcha or questions to catch spammers :) vBulletin used to be good against those at default but too many smart bots these days.

I also liked a "new visitor" welcome message - helped increase some signups on the board.

I use vbseo sitemap. vbseo is too expensive for me. I'm a poor guy!

    I also use:
    image resizer
    Inactive User Reminder Emails
    All Albums
    Vbulletin Template Compressor
Cyb - PayPal Donate (with zero donations so far )
Is Bot Registration Time Check (wonderful anti spam mod)

If you use the "is bot time check" mod along with "the NoSpam!" mod, you'd be pretty much stopping them from registering completely and not have to worry about disabling links! Although, if a human spammer joins, then disabling links is a good idea.

Is there a mod to limit how many pages a guest can view? Like after "x" amount of page views, they're shown a registration option...

Install some kind of image resizer. There are several of them at vbulletin.org.

This is a must have for my forums - the Auto Media Embedding (AME) modification. All you have to do is post a youtube link, and the site embeds the video for your users. And there is an definition file that supports around 200 video sites.

I use the image resizer already. I agree it is a must-have. I can't handle large images stretching my pages.

I also use a youtube bbcode mod. I like it better than an auto embed. Users have the option to post a link or post the actual video. Threads full of youtube links would really slow it down.
