What is the best way to get new posts out there to all the sites without having to manually go in each site and copy & paste? There has to be an easier way, any suggestions?
In Wordpress there are a few plugins which automate the procesof posting by getting the information from a rss feed, some plugins are wp-o-matic, and feedwordpress (i think?), Not entirely sure on what you require though ...
I think you mean, what is the best way to promote your new posts. First of all you don't want to "copy and paste" your original articles anywhere, it would defeat the purpose, and you run the risk of your own site getting pushed to the back of the bus for having duplicate content in favor of a more established site. Word press has automatic pinging, that will alert various pinging services that you have posted. You will want to submit your RSS feed to RSS directories, there are hundreds of them. Submit to directories (won't do much for traffic, but it will at least show some links) You can also bookmark your articles to your profile at the various Social Bookmarking sites, but be careful not to spam with just your stuff. Other than that, you will have to undertake good old fashioned marketing, just like any other business...writing informative articles in your niche to promote your site, guest blogging if possible, link exchanges with similar sites, maybe link your site to your Twitter, My Space, and Facebook accounts. Make instructional, or informational You Tube videos. Some bloggers do interviews with other bloggers, try and get one. Put your blog in your sig Think as if you were starting a business in the real world....how would you get the word out ? And apply the same principles online.
hmansfield pretty much summed it up. It also depends on what traffic you are trying to attract. Make sure your on-site SEO is well done, and follow many of the recommended off-site SEO techniques, ie backlinking. Hmansfield, how did you get your recent blog underneath your forum username?
It's not. That feature hasn't worked for me in months. I don't even have a feed address in there, that old headline is just kind of stuck there.....but, go to User CP - > Options, and there is a slot near the bottom to put your feed address in...maybe it will work for you.
just becareful sometime you get some weird post. for example one guy was running a gold store and the auto blog, posted a gold store robbery on his site. And he wonders why no one buys anything online from him
Submit your post to Ezine Articles or any of the article directories. Gets me lots of views and traffic. Hope this helps.
