    Hi all,

I am getting annoyed with my new sitemap submission to google. I am using webmasters tools and every time I submit I get "unsupported file format". Is there some bug with google that others have encountered ?, as far as I know my xml file is good.

It was submitted on April the 1st but this is no joke

    regards

Maybe you need to change how you are creating it.
    I use a website www.xml-sitemaps.com and I never have a problem.

    Cheers dude,

got it sorted now. I was getting too complicated over it, it was a simple whitespace issue plus a couple of wrong characters, xml very unforgiving. Errors sorted, then I fixed the warnings. Now I am wondering why google is saying it has indexed only a fraction of my pages, via the sitemap that is, they say this is normal ?? I know my pages come up on search and am aware that the sitemap map is handled differently.
