I was using nichebot and I found some keywords all relating to eachother yield the following: count / pages / competition / ratio 50,935 2,380,000 66,000 1.30 27,000 5,670,000 918 0.03 18,302 1,080,000 153 0.01 12,677 1,910,000 13,800 1.09 8,784 229,000 163 0.02 4,302 1,310,000 1 0.00 3,717 123,000 112 0.03 2,552 553,000 127 0.05 1,994 121,000 0 0.00 This is on a topic that I know everything about and could write for days about it. Judging by my nichebot results, do you think it would be worth my time to make a site about this subject? Do you think it has potential and I could possibly make money with adsense on it?
Okay I just found another keyword that looks promising: Count - 215,803 Pages - 5,830,000 Competition - 335 Ratio - 0.00 (.0016) Does that even make sense? 215,803 searches and only 335 exact matches on Google!?!? Is there any reason why I should not take this idea and run with it? Am I missing something?
nichebot doesn't mean much, You should look at nichewatch. It tell you how good is the top ten SEPR for your keyword. If you think you can beat that 10, you shouldn't worry
Thanks, thats just what I was wondering. If I think I can get into the top 10 for a certain keyword, what would be an acceptable amount of searches for that term on overture per day to make it worth while? I am talking about the searches/day on the nichewatch site. I want to make at least $1/day off my site.
I think those numbers look dubious, and agree that it's a good idea to use some other keyword research tools for verification. If your goal is to make $1.00/day, you should be able to achieve it pretty easily with low search count keywords. This is a strategy I've used on several of my sites, and they can add up to pretty significant numbers if they're optimized properly. HTH, Sam
