Dont visit your site too oftem it will reduce earnings

I am telling this from my experience. If you do not reside in USA specially if you are residing in an Asian country do not visit your blog too often. Then payperclick decreases from large amount like 1$ to .20$. I know this because I am an Asian and in the days I edit my blog I visit my blog many times. In those days even i got 7-8 clicks i only get paid 50 or 40 cents. But only other days I get paid around 4$-5$. I think Google put low paying ads on sites with non US traffic. Hope this helps.

What if you setup a GET flag that would trigger an http-basic auth which would turn off the ads for when you're updating ?

I have to visit my site often to maintain it. I have an active forum. I stopped worrying about the Google Gods long ago, and they will not dictate how often I visit my own site.

Me too! (have to visit my site, haven't stopped worrying). I visit my sites several times a day.

I guess we could block the ads from our IP.... ?

OP, I'm sorry you are experiencing this, but!! I don't think it's because you are there, I think it might be because of the visitors doing the clicking.

In order to view Google ads on a website, you will need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser. So you can disable javascript on your brower when you visit your own site.

Yeah Really. How can a program have so many people petrified to do anything wrong, when it is your real estate that they are using to make money.
You guys act like the world will end and you won't make any money online without Google adsense.

It's the most difficult and lowest paying program on the web. If you get a $4 click from them, you could have gotten a $20 commission sale on the same niche from someone else.

    I don't get it.

Other choices ? The web is one big advertising network or affiliate program. If you have traffic, you can put anything you want on your site. One ad is not more reputable in the eyes of surfers than another....if your placement is right, and your content driving traffic, they are going to click what ever is in the slot.

I'm not saying to dump adsense, I'm just saying that so many people act like the need adsense to make a living..when all this time I thought it was just a choice of what program you wanted to use.

It's your site, you can advertise for anyone you want. I would be out of line disrespecting adsense in the adsense forum, I can do that anywhere else, but I just get a good laugh over here. I see so many people talking about Google like they work for them, and they control their destiny.

I choose programs by what I need to sell, or who pays...plain and simple. I have never seen the nervousness and the desire to please so much as people doing back flips for adsense. With most programs they do back flips for you to insure that you make money. None of this " I got 3 clicks and only got paid $.01", or "My account was disabled, help what do I do", or "Made $20 yesterday, but only $3 today on the same traffic WTF"?...I have never seen people put up with so many inconsistencies and temperamental behavior as this program seems to have.

I put a banner or widget on my site, I get paid the same thing every time...It does not fluctuate from month to month, or day to day. There is no smart pricing, Where the click is coming from, and all the other bull that work against you making money as with adsense, yet people will do anything it takes to please them.

I have never seen a program with so many rules when it comes to paying you your money, nor have I ever seen so many people post on this forum that they didn't get paid, or are still waiting for a review for their check..or had thier account disabled for no reason, or banned, or "Don't visit your site too often. they may not pay you ".or any one of 1000 crappy excuses not to pay you...only adsense.

I just don't get it is all because in the grand scheme, they pay the worst to their publishers, and change the scale from week to week.

How can you have someone elses ads on your site and never be really sure how much you are making from click to click ? It's like it's a crap shoot, and those of you that are making money with it, it's like you are just catching as much fish as you can in the basket when they jump out of the water....the only people it seems that really know the program and the equation of clicks vs. commissions, and what they are going to pay for day to day is Google themselves.

I mean...How many of you can actually say "If I get this much traffic and get these many clicks, I know I will make this much money" ? IT seems like you are never sure what you are going to make...screw that. HTF can someone smart price the ads that I have on MY site, so that I don't get paid for advertising for them ? WTF is that ?

You work hard to build your traffic, but you can never really be sure that the ads that you have optimized for, will be there during your traffic spikes.

There is nothing like hitting a good traffic run, on a popular article, or a high Digg or something, and looking at Public service ads on your site, or getting 3 cents a Click, when you are getting 12000 uniques a day. Google is good for that....and then they'll tease you on a slow day and give you a few bucks a click..on the exact same content...so you work harder hoping they won't switch the ads up on you...again. And then when you ask them about it, they give you some BS about uncharacteristic amount of traffic, have to investigate of some shit..... It's BS !

It seems that if you put adsesne on your site, they now control you, your actions and your site, not the other way around.

I have never seen this much paranoia in my life, and the funny thing is, they change the rules so much, you never really know if any of it is true.

    Screw that, I've had enough.

yasitha2 - That's not true of adsense. Your price per click is always determined on the visitor's country of origin (according to the advertiser), not the most common countries. Some sites even pay more for asian traffic than american. :)

One strategy is to look at what adsense advertisers are advertising on your site. Check them out directly and see if they offer an affiliate program. So instead of getting cents per click you get $20 per sale or whatever.

I'm not going to say it's complete rubbish, however... I would like to see more supporting evidence.
In my experience, my earnings are only influenced by the amount of visitors
that my site receives + the type of ads that are displayed.

Again, I've never seen an increase / decrease in earnings by visiting my sites more or less...

And really, there is no way to ever tell because you would need to control all of the other aspects of the
experiment. Which would definitely be a difficult task because AdSense earnings fluctuate every single day
    no matter who you are.

There is no logic behind it and I heard first time something like this in my 5 years adsense experience!
Google shows the ads according to the Visitors region.

In addition to our Thread Starter statement " Frequent visitation on your Adsense Account also Diminish your Earning!" :D Google wants healthy webmasters and/or Adsense publishers, so keep your self busy on something else visiting your Adsense account every minute is not Healthy :D

But this doesn't mean I agree with our Thread Starter.. ;) Also to my statement :D
