Any feedback on my two sites: http://businessanalyst.kirgs.com & http://blog.kirgs.com would be really appreciated.
About http://businessanalyst.kirgs.com I thought it was a good nice site, I would suggest making the text in the menu at the top larger so its readable and visible. About http://businessanalyst.kirgs.com i would recomend you change the theme, add a archives page and maybe a contact us page on the blog.
Thanks for the feedback, mrhrk01. Good suggestions, that were easy to implement, but difficult to see when you look at your own page over and over. I've increased the font of the links at http://businessanalyst.kirgs.com and included a tag cloud at http://blog.kirgs.com. I've kept the Wordpress theme as I feel it is a good fit for my main site, but will definitely include a "contact" section soon. Thanks again for the suggestions.
About the blog, i also recommend changing the theme since that is the default, and from what i can see, you are offering a professional service. Default themed blogs make me feel that the person is "not willing to try". Just my opinion.
Two votes for a Wordpress theme change = MNML theme ZingNos: it probably looked like I hadn't tried for just that reason I felt it broadly matched my main site as mentioned, so left it well enough alone. Having had a look through the few themes on offer based on your collective advice, it was well worth changing it. I'm very happy with this change, so thanks to all for the great feedback.
Since implementing the suggested changes to the site, I've seen a modest increase in the traffic to my blog (http://blog.kirgs.com) but an increase nonetheless, so thanks to those respondents to this thread for their suggestions. If there are anymore suggestions from any other Digital Point members on either/both of the two sites, that would be much appreciated.
I like your business analyst site. Just one thing that irks me, that light blue bar. It just seems "out of place" to me. Other than that, it looks simple and professional. And cooool, you're from Sydney too!
Thanks Skribblez - I always appreciate someone taking the time to provide feedback. I've removed the blue bar for people to compare: http://businessanalyst.kirgs.com/ vs. http://businessanalyst.kirgs.com/index2.php Yes, based in Sydney. Do you need a Business Analyst
