Major google algorithm update today?

Today I awake to see my traffic down. So i look into why.


Multiple sites of mine that used to be consistently on page one or 2 for good keywords are now drastically many pages back.

Anyone else notice a site they have had good consistent rankings on lose their rank today? Not all my sites just a few of them. Some have ranked well for many months until today.

No, google is shuffling stuff around, many people are experiencing the same thing that you are. This could go on for a while, but don't panic, just continue doing the same things that got you ranked, and your sites will bounce back (assuming they don't do so once google is finished with the PR update or whatever is going on)

One valuable competitive keyword bumped up again a couple hours ago, but all the rest on that site and a few other sites are still way down. I hope this is just temporary. I never seen multiple established sites of mine drop at once like this.

 

Traffic is down across my sites too. For me the biggest drop is in other countries, e.g. UK hosted sites down in the US and vice-cersa. Most annoying.

 

My pages are dancing around as well. I believe it will settle down in a few days as a few has suggested.

 

yeah but these are established sites i never seen these ones drop like this before. I hope its temporary.

I still get #1 for my website name and some keywords are doing better than normal. Only one competitive keyword phrase is totally normal the rest are way back or not to be seen anymore.

 

I am hoping it settles too. I had one site on page 1 for multiple keyword phrases and I can't find it in 20 pages now. Another site of mine that is similar but was established for other keywords is actually ranking on page 2 for the keywords where the other was on page 1 usually in the #1 or 2 spot.

 

Have you changed anything from your site?

If not, maybe you just experience a googl dance, just wait and sooner you'll see your KWs stabilize ranking.

Anyway, my sites are consistently ranking high in different search engines.

 

Many people have been witnessing drastic changes in their serps over the last several days. It has become extremely difficult to concentrate on the job with so much dynamism in the end result.

Hopefully, this is the major storm before the long-lasting calm!

there has been many fluctuate ranking in google serp these days.. some of my website pages get higher ranking and some get lower rank.

google is currently tracking for each search result ... all search result link appeared as http://www.google.com/url?sa=U&start=1&q=xxxxxxx . I've noticed this since two weeks ago.

 

Most likely a google dance, but still no sign of any major PR update.

 

I pray to god that this is not temporary....

I'm sorry that some of you have lost traffic, but I now control the entire first page for a keyword.

Stopped indexing my blog to 3 days it was not punished, it's all in google webmaster sitemap everything is ok ok too, I will dance on google?

 

I have seen a slight devaluation of anchor text, and more emphasis on the relevance of the actual page your backlink is on.

Some sites i run have jumped dramatically for competitive keywords, but they don't contain "any" backlinks with that keyword.. However the backlinks are on pages relating to that keyword.

So the ones seeing a decrease in rank, do you have a lot of anchor rich backlink that are on unrelated or semi related pages?

 

i saw that change too.... since a couple of days traffic was too less.. today increased a bit.. let's see

 

Don't worry.. it happens to most of the sites.. Just concentrate on building good niche content.. your site will be back sooner or later.
