Hi guys, I've never seen anyone complain about the actual MSN security and MSN messenger security: Any half decent hacker has several programs that work with the latest MSN. These programs can install trojans on the targets' computer without them accepting anything! They can also change the password of your MSN and see your old one. Now on to the almost as bad bit: MSN never seem to do anything about it. AND Any average joe can get many easy to use MSN tools like "MSN account freezer" and "MSN bomber" and help for hacking them "MSN packet sniffer" among loads others. I've been hacked twice this week by the same person even though I changed my password, didn't have any trojans/spyware, made my pass recovery question non personal etc. It's just lucky paypal are sensitive to people from other countries accesing my account! It's also lucky I have a completely different pass for it! MSN is unsafe. If you want to use MSN messenger, register it with GMail or yahoo (yahoo isn't THAT secure either though). I just had to say all this because it annoys me how a large company making $999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 every second can still not be bothered to fix those security patches in its' software!
Id like 2 agree with the comment above. But also that msn live now does not recieve/send messeges anymore. Everyone i know on my contact list has said this exact same thing. An it is very frustrating. Something must be done about it. What is the point in msn if u cant even send/recieve messeges :s it doesnt make sense. I think it is cause they have changed the send/recieve info from ur ip or something i heard.. but i dont know. Please if any1 could help with contacting microsoft and reporting this. Im sure the world of msn live messenger would all be grateful. xx
Been using Messenger for years and have NEVER had a problem. Stop accepting friend invites from people you don't know and you won't have any problems....
MSN messenger is itself a problem, sucked my 50MB for download and after that no treat. There are no chatrooms and bad emoticons. Yahoo messenger rocks and you can add your MSN/Live contacts in Yahoo too so its good. Pidgin and Nimbuzz are also good if you want to stick with your MSN/Live account.
Getting hacked via MSN? haha what a joke. Do you think MSN would release an insecure product? Go and call MSN, tell them about this thread because your asking your trouble with those kind of accusations.
i myself sent a complaint to microsoft, but i also knew who was accessing my computer through msn, usually the people are closed to you and you'd be surprised what microsoft can do to help you out, i have recieved a report from microsoft which says the person i suspected was accessing all my conversations for 7 months, even when i lived interstate, then you must report it to the police and once the police have been notified, microsoft then release all information to them , so dont ever think it cant be stopped cause it can, i'm living proof it can be stopped
I hate msn too really , you got some serious privacy problem and the never ever even think about fixing it it sucks
