Since this recession is engineered by a group of superb rich bankers, I do not think we will go into depression. Once they finish buying up the properties they want, our economy will go up again as these bankers want to make more profit.

    This time may be different.

Banks have as much money as the government, which is close to none.

What banks and the government create is credit. Money is something that has value in the marketplace as a medium of exchange WITHOUT government intervention (e.g. legal tender laws).

Federal Reserve Notes do not meet this definition. Your bank accounts, paper dollar bills, pensions, IRAs/401k, etc are all credit. You HOPE to get something of value for them when the time comes.

Money is hoarded by the central banks, the financially astute, mints, collectors, and other private citizens.

The only way banks and the Federal government operate is by appropriating our wealth and then charging us to get it back (lending and government spending).

    Your right.

What gets me is how we allowed the passage of the fed reserve which makes a PROFIT.

Obama gave many people hope which is an emotional stimulous and which will do some good, but in 2 or 3 years people will recognize that his math does not add up and things may get a lot worse.

Gee, I was thinking the same thing until I started reading all the internet questions people were asking of Obama. Most of the questions had to do with legalizing pot (which I agree with, but I think we have bigger fish to fry right now) or people asking "when am I going to get my bailout?". None of the questions grilled Obama about his ABSOLUTELY ridiculous budget or the Cap and Trade that will DOUBLE our energy costs. What the hell is wrong with people?

He (or his team) had editorial discretion in what questions they would allow. This was never intended to be a serious exploration of policy IMO.

Yeah, and many will remain in denial for a little bit longer. Kind of like you didn´t believe the older kids who told you Santa wasn´t real.

I'm not sure it's even "denial". Its more like they are hoping (even though they know it is futile) that reality will really alter. I mean, if you wish for something hard enough, won't it happen?

    NOT!!!

Both Dick Morris and Newt Gingrich have predicted that we have 18 months if we are so lucky before there is too much money chasing to few goods and services.

Banks only keep 1% real cash reserve. So there won't even be enough cash to go around. :D
