i can't understand one thing, who would give several dollars (i see that people are bragging with 3-4 and possibly more $ clicks) for one visit to their site? And i presume that google is taking a piece of that money for their profit? Where's the sens in that?
Yes, $1 per click is expensive but $1 per target visitor is worth. Many advertiser willing to pay that. The advertiser are willing to spend more than 10K for advertising at TV, why cant they spend $1 per click?
TV medium has a great brand recall value and so putting up advts. on the same is useful.... With so many fraud clicks around, I doubt if the advertisers really get to make decent amount of money from ppc..unless of course, product has very high inherent sales and one has deep pockets. and i would like to add that for 3-4$ you can have several thousand visitors to your site, using DP offers for traffic, if you need people with cash use PTC like Neobux people who are there usually have cash to spend and sales are guaranteed.
Well if companies are paying that much for CPC ads they must be getting high conversion rates and making even more of a profit using it.
Those advertisers want to get more targeted visitors so they are willing to pay for high priced keywords.
You must see what kind of niche are high paying. Advertisers are paying so high because they have huge margins
I paid $4-6.5 per click a (single visitor) while promoting a certain product 2.5 years ago. However, I am talking about Adwords for Search, not Adwords for Content.
For example: Let's say company offers tax-help for $1000/year, and client stays with them 20 years. So click that converts brings in (20*1000=) $20,000 for them. So it's not strange that you see $50 clicks during do-your-taxes-period.
