How many clicks without a sale before you drop a program?

I've been running a 125x125 banner on one of my sites and have accumulated over 200 clicks in the past couple weeks but absolutely no sales/commissions.

How long do you let a banner run before you dump it and replace it with something else?

I would have thought that I'd get at least a 0.5% conversion rate, but that hasn't happened.

    Would appreciate any advice!

1,000 clicks. Its a numbers game mate, 200 clicks just aint enough. Maybe the conversion rate has something to do with the landing page?

Is it targetted well enough? And just let it go, and remember you can always come back to it. Try something out and see your results. Good luck buddy ;).

For banner ads usually let it run 2000 clicks, for highly targeted traffic 200 clicks. If your doing PPC text ads no more than 200 clicks on targeted keywords. Like SuperbSpurs said its a numbers game.

I normally will just use it for 200 clicks, if 200 clicks no sales, then i will remove it. Try other more targeted ads and see the result

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I guess I'll let it run for a few more hundred clicks and see what happens before making a decision.

As for me, I would dump the program if there is no conversion after 200 clicks. 200 is a lot of number already. There should be at least 1 conversion for a hundred clicks.

How much would you make on a conversion?

1 out of 200 could be perfect for a $500 product!
