I want to know when is the next Google PR Update Due as we have got a lot of new links and have seen no change in our pagerank. Just wondering if anyone knows????
There are many similar threads are open, please don't start such thread and also just let you know, no one can predict the Page Rank date.
IF you had a webmaster tools account setup, you would see the start by reviewing the "outbound link" section. If you have a lot of new links, then they will show up. Then check the "internal link" section, and look for a greater link count on all of the indexed pages. This would also be a good indication. But the Pros in the forum will also tell you not to hold your breath. It's Google and they do what every the hell they want and when. Last year, they PR updated on a quarterly basis, this year it should start around the first of April, but...
Last pagerank update was on 31.12.2008 as I know... So I'm making forecast that it will be at the end of march or first april week
Your URL's 'real' Page Rank gets updated every time Google indexes your URL... and when they crawl a URL that links to your URL... or when they crawl a URL that used to link to your URL but no longer does... Your URL's Page Rank is constantly being updated. Who cares about that little green bar in the Google toolbar. By the time you see it, it is already a few weeks out of date. The day it's published it may show a Toolbar PR=5 but your site is really a PR=3 site because a week before it was published Google devalued half of your inbound links. Focus instead on things like are you ranking better for your major 'money' keyword phrases... and whether you are getting more unique visitors from Google and the other engines. Showing the Toolbar PR is probably the stupidest thing Google has ever done in the history of the company. It's TBPR is WAY overrated and VERY misleading IMO. It's like looking at the night sky and assuming just because you see a particular star there that it still exists when in reality it might have burned out thousands of years ago.
I dunno Canonical. Google created this toolbar PR frenzy that influences a lot of people. I don't necessarily call that bad business rkstech, Just keep an eye on the value of link: for your name. That's more important
HEHE... To me, toolbar PR is like a quarterly 401k statement that tells you what each of your funds has done last quarter, year-to-date, etc. By the time you get the statement in the mail the data is old, the market has changed... If you try to act on it based on that old data, you're always chasing but never finding the 'real' opportunities in the market. /shrug
I read an article the other day that was guestimating it to be around the beginning of April sometime for the toolbar update.
