Branding: studiolance vs lancecafe

studiolance vs lancecafe

Here I've been wondering what your thoughts are.
We plan to launch a freelancers portal, and need to be sure that we're making the right choice in terms of branding the idea.

What name should we choose from the above two options and why? What are the strong and the low points of each in your opinion?
Also, if you have any suggestions to make, please do so.

Go for lancecafe coz it short and easy to remember.
While for studiolance is not suitable coz people will misunderstood that the site is only for photographer due to the studio word.

 

Yeah, go for the lancecafe name. Just seems to sound better and roll out of the mouth easier.

Let me know when you guys are up and running. I'll come check you guys out.

I vote for "lancecafe"

Think of cafe, what comes into my mind is talk, chat, gathering place, so it already give perception about the website. While studiolance sounds like you are setting up a design/photography studio (business).

Thanks for your input, wiehanne. So your point of view is oriented towards "lancecafe" as a community portal if my understanding is right. What about the idea of a freelance service website like getafreelancer or scriptlance? Would "lancecafe" do a better job there, too compared to "studiolance"?

 

We haven't yet made a decision so any other opinions might count a lot. If anyone has got anything to say, please feel free to do so, your effort is much appreciated!

 

LanceCafe sounds so much better than StudioLance.

I vote lancecafe. IMO studiolance sounds kind of awkward no offense, and lancecafe makes it seem more like a community. Just my opinion though.

Thanks, there is no "script" to go with this yet.
We aren't considering any of the available options yet and most probably a custom solution will be used.
