Under my main URL, I have about 30 other pages with ads on them. I added each page's channel a couple days ago to properly track things and noticed a big drop in earnings. For example, AKMESTUFF.COM is my main page. Then I added various other channels like AKMESTUFF.COM/MORE_STUFF.HTM and AKMESTUFF.COM/MORE_STUFF1.HTM, AKMESTUFF.COM.MORE_STUFF2.HTM etc. etc. (these are hypothetical URLS of course)....but I noticed as soon as I added these other "channels" or URLs for tracking purposes, my earnings went downhill. Should I just go back to tracking the main URL only, or can I do any adjustments in my settings elsewhere? Thank you.
i don't really think that's why your earnings went down. Maybe you have a bad day.... My advice is to wait 1-2 days and then to take actions.
Thanks Searchingcoder and Mjewel....it's pretty strange though.....many months go by and earnings have been pretty predictable. Soon as I tried this - boom. This is why I was curious. I will wait and see but feel something is amiss. I'll do some research. Thanks again.
Adsense earnings are like the stock market, sometimes it goes up and then down all of sudden before slowly rising back again.
I get ya'jesi & hambels. No worries, I guess. It's just that one day I hit $12 and change and thought why not configure a channel for each sub page too. Then that next day not even $2. However, this week I've managed to earn a (humble) $50 extra. I think another aspect is getting the sites listed in more directories, posting comments in blogs and of course finding good reciprocal link partners. By NO means, is the affiliate program a guarantee to easy money....it isn't meant to be.
YO LIFEPLAYER! I'm feelin' ya brother....good hearing from you - thanks for that input. I now see the big picture! I'm gonna get more links! Keep it going yall!
channels are just used to know which are getting more clicks and which are earning a lot. so channels won't reduce your earnings.
