    I'm looking into implementing a 'Buy' button for selling my products.

    I know that the psychology behind it has been tested extensively, however I am wondering what specific types of buttons have you found most effective, that is in producing sales?

    For example, is there a recommmended size, font, info, etc?

    the ones which are most recognized are paypal buttons,
    they are most effective in my experience

    Agreed with basecore, paypal buttons attract buyers, for some reason people feel "safer" when they see that Verified Paypal Banner. Definitely use paypal buttons, effective, simple, buyer feels more secure.

    So paypal buy now buttons are most effective? Cool. Does this mean that if I have a paypal account (which I do), the knowledge and ability to add the buttons to my site (whcih I do) I can have my own little online shop on my own site without requiring 3rd party softare or shop sites?

    If this is true I will be delighted because that means I have all the tools at my disposal to add products to my site if I so wish.

    That is kind of exciting... ...if it is correct.

    Colors do influence mood. Red buttons are used for strong calls to action. If you're looking for that, I'd go with red.

    As for font, as long as it's readable (no fancy text or hard to read lettering) - you should be good.

    Size? I guess it just depends on the overall design.
