Anyone else experiencing decreasing eCPM lately?

Was wondering if I was the only one. My eCPM has been dropping about 10-15 percent every 2 days for the past week. Today it's only about 50 percent of what it was a month ago.

Am I the only one? CTR and Impressions remain the same.

I think your observations are correct. Advertisers are dropping out like flies and others are paying less for Adwords ads due to the current economic problems. When advertisers pay less for their ads, we get less Adsense money as well. Stuff happens. Life is tough. It's going to get worse before it gets better, unfortunately.

I experienced a sharp decline in eCPM beginning about three days ago. About 24 hours after updating my competitive ad filter with a fresh list from adsblacklist.com, things are back to normal. I think there's just a ton of new MFA sites out there polluting the system. Good luck!

This is a good time for us to write more content as there is not much we can do at the moment to increase eCPM. When things are back to normal, eCPM will roll back to what it used to be.

If your CTR is same, then the only factor is CPC, CPC is dropping....Not only happen to you but all the adsense publisher

my CPC and eCPM has risen sharply in last few days...

I have been using Adsense for a long time.

Nowadays I don't even bother about such things.

    I agree with gravis.

It is better to focus on content, SEO and traffic.

eCPM will take care of itself in the long-term...;).

Which means many adwords users are going out of business , less competition means less eCPM.
