1-Do you believe this new privacy policy with selecting: Show ads that are based on user-interest categories. Will protect us from banning more than befor?

2- appearing ads that are based on user-interest means special ads for each user visiting your website means more clicks, up your ctr, each user will find the ad who will catch his eye?

    * Lets discuss about these new changes and what u guess will happen.

I really don't understand how targeted advertisements would safeguard publishers from a ban.
    What am I missing ?

Targeted ads with reaching the right customer by looking at his interests will decrease advertiser risks. normally because he will get the right person on the right place :) and they would generate sales more than befor! and of course the risks that we may cause would decrease. this is my point! what do you think guys?

How are behavior targeting ads going to be any more accurate than webpage content targeting ads ?

I was wondering the same thing. The privacy policy WILL give protection from banning, though.

    How, you may ask?

Simple...the Privacy Policy is REQUIRED. If you don't have it, there is a much higher chance of being banned for not having the policy than if you do have it, so yes, the privacy policy offers _some_ protection from banning.

A privacy policy wont protect anyone from being banned, its just to let visitors know that information is being collected from their surfing habits in order to serve more relevant ads to the visitor.

Legal requirements require companies (like google) to inform a user that they are being tracked in some way.

Difficult to avoid though, credit cards and rewards cards are both methods of collecting information on people, its just a case of rolling with it.

I cant see many people not using google and their various services.

I myself can't understand why we have to ad anything to our policy pages. I have 3 other sites besides my jokesite. If my policy pages gets looked at once a week its a lot. They see on the pages of the products that I use pay pal so why would they want to know. Now if we had to put those four lins saying on the shipping page that gets looked at about 10 times a aday. How the hell will the users know about opting out of the dart cookie. They don't look at the policy page. Give us a break google your time has come to fall flat on your face. This is the biggest and I do mean biggest mistake they have done.

Gotta update the policy before April 8th !!!

Guys has anyone figured out what exactly needs to be in the privacy policy ??

    # Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site.
    # Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and other sites on the Internet.
    # Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy

    Apart from the above ???
