Google has the function where by you could find the links to your site by entering the following to the search:

    site:http://yoursite.com

How do you do it in Yahoo, and also MSN while i'm on topic.

    Thanks

you do it the same way but you have the command wrong, it should be link:http://www.yoursite.com in google as well, only they (MSN/Yahoo) work better because they show a more comprehensive listing of backlinks. in my experience msn is best.

    for example

    link:http://www.msn.com

It's amazing how different the results are for each search engine. I performed this search with one of my .blogspot blogs and got the following results:

    Google-0
    Yahoo-376
    MSN-1,488

Anyways, thanks for the tips everyone ;)

Yes, Google ignores links that contain the "nofollow" attribute, so you'll not see a comprehensive list of backlinks (especially from blog platforms which use rel="nofollow" by default. Which is a shame, but there you go...

usually i use "linkdomain:yoursite.com -site:yousite.com" in yahoo. that will exclude the links in your own sites.

    Hi Tyler,

My numbers are similar to yours.

    One site of mine -
    Google - 31 links
Yahoo - 900 links (30 times as many)
MSN - 3,000 links (100 times as many)

A huge difference is observable, and the ratios are just like you said, for me.
